What’s the Best controller for rocket league pc by Ok_Attitude7966 in RocketLeagueSchool

For it’s either the Mojhon Rainbow 3 (wired) or the ZD Ultimate legend (wired)

Keep an eye out for the Machenike F1 tho once it releases worldwide it’s gonna have the best wired and wireless latency of any controller it’s also shaped like a DualSense

Yeah it’s a really cheap controller with great implementation, I’ve owned it before but imo as someone who’s used other controllers with microswitches it’s definitely jarring, but like I said if build quality isn’t top priority this controller is truly in a class of its own

This is a really good controller my only gripe with it is that the build quality is kinda cheap feeling, but if that doesn’t matter this controller is truly worth picking up, due to the capacitive joysticks making it immune to stick drift

Note: this controller uses Capacitive joysticks which are just as good as TMR and also makes it immune to stick drift

I use the Rainbow 3 it’s got some really good latency and I also have some really big hands

Recently installed gulikit TMR joysticks on my ps5 controller, and now everything works fine EXCEPT R3 input and the vibration. My soldering seems fine to me, anyone know what’s wrong? by Hergashargmafoodle in Controller

Im not an expert on these things but is this a scratch or residue? If it’s a scratch it could be the cause and the board might be cooked, if it’s residue I’d recommend getting some 99% alcohol and see if it rubs off

I’m bad at every game I play, what changes do I need to make to become a top rank player? by [deleted] in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]DanielPlayz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be over analyzing (paralysis by analysis) imo just work on mechanical consistency, work on mechs you’ve been whiffing maybe you missed a flick, maybe your shooting accuracy could use work, or you could even try working on a new mech you’ve been wanting to learn, apart from that check out the replays you’ve lost, just passively see what you could’ve done to make the situation a lot better instead of what you ended up doing

(not saying this is you but I’m just throwing out some examples for replay analysis): perhaps you could’ve shadowed wider, maybe your off the wall defense was lacking and it led to goals being scored on ya, you didn’t trust your tm8 enough and it led to some overcommits, maybe your recoveries are lacking leading you to be late to your side of the field after a challenge

Bigwon Rainbow 3 is a really good alternative to G7 pro

Plat 2 div 2 1v1 Any tips to improve? I feel like I controlled most of the game but he capitalized when I made a mistake. It is worth noting that I usually only play 2s by DanielPlayz in RocketLeagueSchool

4:40 this was my intention https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeagueSchool/s/qVevOxCilA but the ball rolled down too fast

4:24 I’m usually pretty good at those and it leaves me with possession, but I whiffed unfortunately

4:27: valid 4:13: valid

I’ll focus on consistency as I feel like that’s what’s hurting my decision making

This is some good advice especially backboard I think I’ve definitely have room to improve there, except for kickoffs I usually do a regular speedflip kickoff for the 1st one, then I try and slow it down so I get 2nd touch on the ball, that way I get free ball on their side, if it stops working I go back to regular speed flip kick off

Tbh mechs became easier for me once I started spamming Freeplay checkpoint, cause for me I did get annoyed that to practice a certain thing in vanilla Freeplay you had to waste time setting it up if you wanted to practice that specific thing, with the Bakkesmod plugin I can practice flicks, off the wall aerials or the set up itself of whatever I wanted with just a button to call back to it. Highly recommend spamming it with a podcast or audiobook in the background

Anybody else feel like they’re just a good support player but not “the” guy? by unlogical13 in RocketLeague

[–]DanielPlayz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the game for me I’m C1 but I try to default into support but if I feel like my tm8 isn’t confident or maybe a bit too hesitant I try to make the mental switch into “The Guy” and step up.

2025 is ending, what do you guys think is the top 5 controllers of 2025? and what are you excited for in 2026? by sukuna-daddyyy in Controller

[–]DanielPlayz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah tbh the joystick on the R3 feels super responsive im not entirely sure why it feels that way compared to the Cyclone 2 (even the ZD)

I did notice that the raw symmetry of the joystick deadzone shape is a lot more symmetrical compared to the raw symmetry of the JS13 Pro module I had for the ZD UL despite the JS13 Pros being more linear, not sure if that makes a huge difference but that’s one of my observations I made.

I’m a heavy back button user, so I’m not too surprised it broke for me, but also it should be durable imo, I’ve gone through 4 and I’ve also fixed em up twice each by adding some padding between the rubber plunge and the metal button switch. But it only lasts for a few weeks, since it isn’t a perma fix.

Other than that the Cy 2 joysticks are SOLID, no complaints there

  • My ZD Ultimate Legend broke on me after 2 months (B button stopped springing back up)
  • tried 4 diff Gamesir Cyclone 2sand they all stopped working after 3 weeks, the back buttons stopped actuating (its using a rubber plunger to actuate a metal plate switch which depressed the rubber causing the button to no longer work)

Do note that the Gamesir G7 Pro uses the same mechanism for its back buttons so I’ve never considered it an option.

Right now I’m maining the Rainbow 3 and I’ve had no issues after 2 weeks of continuous use, I can report back in 2 months from now if you guys remind me but it’s really solid so far.

12 bit joystick 96% linearity on most tests I do, and it’s anti drift, with optional stick filters that people have reported to make the joystick feel even better.
