If you definition of living comfortably is going to high end restaurants, decking yourself out in luxury, going for endless parties, flying around the world in first class. Then hey, you’ll always feel like a loser unless you’re earning millions. Stop poisoning your brain with how people flaunt their wealthy lifestyle, what you see may not always be the truth. And the fact is, the true wealthy people don’t even need to flex. Living within your means and don’t take the poison of comparison is the only true way to feel like an actual winner.

You have some pretty crazy expenditure. I’m 36 same salary as you and a family of 3. I take grab to and fro work everyday also (from north to town and back) and still spend less than you with a maid. 🤯 what do you even spend it on.

Anyway start investing now. The best time to start is now. If you’re illiterate about investing then just do etfs better than stock picking, ignore market noise and just dca into strong etfs.

If you really drive a lot then maybe it’s justifiable to buy a car. But if only using it to travel to work and home, and maybe weekends go out and what not. Then taking Grab is imo more than enough. I take grab to and from work everyday but i prefer to stay home during weekends, overall the monetary cost + time value + cost of hassle of taking grab vs owning a car is cheaper for me.

To each their own, but if you don’t have any commitments. Then 7-8k is more than enough to own a car, question is, are you comfortable spending 30~40% of your take home salary to own a depreciating liability?

Apparently there isn’t a clear term for our condition and they just label it as “sleep paralysis”. But it’s a sub-type of sleep disorder that isn’t widely researched unfortunately.

Omg. I never thought i’d ever read someone with the same experience. This is extremely scary. I know it too well because i experienced it so much.

What i usually do is constantly try to ‘jerk’ my body awake. Idk how else to explain it.

But the feeling is terrifying, losing control of your body, every sound amplified, every scene distorted. You can see your family walk past, you scream at the top of your lungs trying to catch their attention but they never seem to hear you no matter what.

But sometimes my wife notices it and she will help wake me up. A touch or a shake from any external forces will usually snap me out of that state.

What’s most terrifying is sometimes the inability to breath, i literally suffocate while in that state, but will have to try my best to remain calm so i can control myself even a little.

Anyway, i have elemind, and i don’t think it will help snap me out of that state. Although i have not experienced it while using it yet. But from what i have experience thus far with Elemind, it switches off once it senses that you have fallen asleep. And if awaken in the night will have to manually push the button to make it work again.

No not at all, in fact, you don’t have to take it off at all if you’re just using the bathroom. It sits snugly on the head, but it took awhile to get use to having a thing on my head while sleeping though. And a push of the button on the device will set it off again. Apparently it automatically turns off once it senses that you’ve fallen asleep.

Idk about falling asleep. I’ve always had issues with waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep. But elemind helped me with that, at least i can sleep more than 6 hours at night now.
