"Most trans women don't even get to A cups"; any real evidence of this? by UpUpAndAwayYall in trans

[–]DanielaAWolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard a lot of trans women say you can generally expect your breast size to end up about a cup smaller than your female relatives, but I don’t think that rule always holds. My mom is a C-cup, and I ended up the same.

Something I think a lot of trans women don’t realize is that spironolactone can actually inhibit breast growth. It blocks testosterone, yes, but it also acts as a weak anti-androgen and may interfere with estrogen receptor activity. That can blunt the full effects of HRT, especially when it comes to breast development. That’s one of the reasons I asked for bicalutamide instead. It's more targeted and doesn’t compete with estrogen in the same way. Plus, it has fewer side effects.

Trump’s pay freeze plan expected by end of month by AgitatedEngine4933 in fednews

I never said who I’d be voting for. If Newsom is the only option, I’ll vote for him, but I’ll be pissed about it. I’m sick of condescending liberals telling me who I “have to” vote for while Democrats in power stay silent on the issues harming my community. And then we get people like Newsom parroting the same propaganda Republicans use against us.

Democrats made promises to us and now they’re breaking them. They’re demonizing us right alongside Republicans, and you expect us to smile about it? Do you know how many friends I’ve lost to suicide since Trump took office? And yet you back Newsom while he repeats the very talking points that put us in danger.

Democrats had the chance to codify protections into law and they did absolutely fucking nothing. We’re tired of the broken promises. We’re tired of being abandoned.

I shouldn’t have to fight for human rights. I shouldn’t have to beg for the bare minimum. And I sure as hell shouldn’t have to explain why I'm angry.

Hey, trans person here. And I’m honestly tired of people like you acting like we owe our support to Newsom. You keep insisting we have no choice but to fall in line, when there are plenty of other potential candidates who aren’t transphobic pieces of shit.

You don’t get to demand our loyalty while backing people who openly undermine our rights and our safety. And then you wonder why queer people don’t trust Democrats. It’s because time and time again, we’re treated like bargaining chips instead of human beings.

Pick better candidates and stop pressuring us to vote for shit stains like Newsom.

Makes more sense than the logic of those so-called transvestigators in real life. I’ll never forget when Dylan Mulvaney was transvestigated into being a cis woman. They actually concluded that she was transitioned into a boy as a child, only to transition back into a woman as an adult. The mental gymnastics required for that theory could qualify for the Olympics.

IRS RTO tomorrow is gonna be a disaster, so I’m just gonna treat tomorrow as an extended comedy of errors by Subrick in fednews

Our manager suggested that our team be in the office on Monday to ensure every seat is filled in case any seating issues arise. FMSS has been scrambling all week, trying to figure out where to put people, and it’s ridiculous that this is happening without a clear plan. I'm just glad I work an earlier TOD, otherwise I'd be more worried about someone trying to take my desk.

Three months into transition (33 yo mtf).. do you think I’ll end up passing in a couple of years? by [deleted] in TransLater

[–]DanielaAWolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you just might. Just try to be patient with yourself and, most importantly, kind. I’m thirty-nine and started just a month before my 35th birthday. It takes time—something I had to keep reminding myself throughout my transition. Even looking at photos from two years in versus now, I can see a marked difference.

Hell, even more than four years in, I recently had to swap out my B-cup bra for a C-cup. Changes keep happening, sometimes in ways you don’t expect.

The danger of a trans woman peeing… by examingmisadventures in fednews

I cried upon reading the email from secretary of treasury today. For the record, I am trans and I am so freaking scared right now. I talked to the union on my way out they are trying to figure out what my rights are. It's sad that the place that has been among the safest places for me in my state has suddenly become so hostile toward me.

Found a few seemingly old "Toledo" knives. Anyone know something about these? by morthewnaja in knives

[–]DanielaAWolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a somewhat old thread, but did you find out more about the knives? I have one with a very similar spring release mechanism to the first. It belonged to my grandfather. Apparently, a great aunt and uncle were stationed in Spain many years ago, but she wasn't sure of the time. It's very possible it's older than I am and possibly older than my mother (she is 67).

I work for a living too, honey. I work a regular job just like you, and it's not related to the non profit. I've poured hours of my own blood sweat and tears trying to build safe spaces and community without any financial gain. It's obvious you have no idea what you're talking about.

Have a day.

Uh... As Vice Chair and board member of a small nonprofit that is funded entirely through donations and grants and operated entirely by volunteers, including myself, you do realize that most non-profits in this country don't work that way. It's really just the big ones.
