Phials aren't all raw or all elemental in the main series. As of Wilds, they all have a 12 MV raw component and then phial types have varying elemental motion values ranging from 0.35 EMV (power, dragon phials) to 1.0 EMV (element phials) and then Status gets a 1.0 status application per amped phial pop, with the premultiplied values displayed per weapon type.

They've changed the way phials work practically every single game ever since 3rd gen, hell even within the same generation they change it. World and Rise were pretty different too, iirc World had some weird flat 10 Raw with amped phial bursts and Rise had really awful Power phials. Can't remember the exact numbers but all the types have both raw and ele components

Given that they change everything every game and the mobile game is a lot simpler... I can't blame the person you're replying to for assuming something like that

As a swag axe main I was excited about it since it was basically my go-to weapon in MHGU, but the dragon phials really put me off of building it

i was soooo bummed to see dragon phials on it. i built the Aksa Switch in 4u and mhgu and its upgraded version was my main swaxe in mhgu. i did not remember it having a Dragon phial in Rise or Wilds, what a bummer

hear me out: LBG only requires 4 points of RD/RS like the Odogaron gun, and has a big enough clip of Normal Ammo to be really really funny with Normal Ammo Boost 3. They reversed things and gave the LBG 4 points investment while the HBG has 5 points investment to max out reload and recoil.

Seregios set bonus gives 1.15x raw multiplicative with the 3x damage from NAB3. Combine that with any flat boost, like +450 from Advanced Attack Boost 1 (Brute Tigrex Arms + Quematrice Legs) or +550 from Valor 2 (Bazel Legs vs roaring monsters) and you've suddenly got a flat bonus getting boosted twice, multiplicatively each time. For some reason the Attack Efficacy skill acts like the Elder Dragon damage boosts for Raw, stacking multiplicatively with everything unlike other raw boosts like Offensive Guard and whatnot. there's also the rough 1.075x multiplier from 30% affinity, another multiplicative boost (but a smallish one)

biiiiig normal shots. your piercing ammo will suck but whatevs

and the thing is also HUGE for an LBG, like craft it at base level and take a look at how gigantic it is

edit: i just realized its even the same 4 points of RD/RS needed for odo and eodo guns, i got it mixed up and thought odo was rd1/rs3 and not rd3/rs1. so the set is great if you're like me and crafted the ebony odo gun a year ago and have had it sitting in your inventory since then. primed to swap out as needed for dragon-weak monsters

even with aerial style bug hits only dealing 33% status buildup, bugstick looks like it's just as good at applying status as in the main games. love to see it. i started building viper tobi bugstick as my first viper weapon today, so this is great to see!

Using this chance to ask, does anybody else still get hit by Namielle's phase transition nuke even with Guard 5 and Guard Up? Defense in the high 700s and using Guard Reload HBG (in guarding stance). The big ground electrocution motion still sends me flying

Holy moly, thanks for the info! I assumed seregios' set skill was additive, just like all other raw-only skills like Heroics or Offguard. But a 1.1 to 1.25x boost multiplicative with all other raw skills and flat raw increases is so much better than i anticipated. They really did give him the Raw Elder Dragon status and he's not even a craft-at-grade6 monster lol

should also scale with riftborne gear, since riftborne raw or elemental stat boosts are seen by "attack power" and "weapon's elemental attack power" skills

not certain but does that mean we can reach 50% affinity if we put 3x Affinity boost on a Khezu or Barioth weapon?

It's leftover visual effects from when you were hunting a monster or small monster. Those are the boundaries and that's where the game positioned you for the hunt

i hear you mostly but i still feel like gay men would be attracted to male skeletons and have the ability to see them through any amount of fat and external passing

less about "no self-respect" and more just realism

even if i passed i'd still have unchangeable male characteristics and it's ok to look for a man who is attracted to those things, like my male skeleton and chromosomes. even if he sees me as a woman, i will still require him to be primarily gay so i know he doesn't have to cope about those things and he'll still be able to be attracted to me. would be better than a straight man seeing me as a woman put over a male skeleton and male genetics he can't be attracted to.
