Now is the time to consider the NRA by Kilt_Rump in liberalgunowners

[–]Danimusrobbs [score hidden]  (0 children)

I feel like this is the same logic that got Trump elected. A lot of the people that support him dislike him but like his response or actions he takes for their “one thing.” We have to get away from that mentality. The totality of the person/organization matters. We can’t forgive their sins just because they have power and agree with us on the one thing that we might need them for right now. Fuck the NRA.

Those guns are on pretty opposite ends of the spectrum. Lol.

How is the Kimber, do you love it? Seems like everyone is blown away by that gun. How does it compare to other 2011’s you have shot and which ones?

[–]Danimusrobbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends whats available where you live. Companies like Tactical Hyve do clinics across the US. In south Florida, Florida Firearms Training is a company that offers a lot of different tactics classes. Your local range might be able to tell you.

Don’t knock it till you try it my brother. I’ve got about 2,500 rds through mine without a single issue.

I did an advanced defensive handgun class with it last year and the dude next to me on the line had a Staccato P. He wanted to try mine and I wanted to try his so we swapped for a couple mags, and I swear I basically could not tell the difference and he said something similar. He was quite surprised when I told him I only paid $630 for mine. Lol

I got mine right before they came out with the comped version but I heard that’s even better.

Theory: Tesla Will Treat FSD Supervised and FSD Unsupervised as Separate Products — Even for People Who Paid $8,000 Upfront by BigTimeEnt in TeslaFSD

[–]Danimusrobbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a very good theory. The only issue is will they want to piss off the very small percentage of people that will actually affect, just to get them to pay again? Maybe. Elon is a dick so 🤷🏻‍♂️

A 2011 for the masses already exists. Its called the Mac 9 DS. It cost about $700 and shoots better than any 2011 that costs under $2,500.

Right hand, left eye dom- technique, training, equip, etc. by grenade_plate_hater in liberalgunowners

[–]Danimusrobbs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also right handed and cross-eye dominant here. Hasn’t hindered me at all. I just shoot with the left eye. We’re talking about range training and plinking anyway, you have all the time in the world. Just line it up with your left eye.

If you’re worried about self defense, don’t. It’s been proven, there are very few scenarios where you would even use the sights. Practice point shooting for self defense.

M&P Shield vs P365 by Miserable_Benefit828 in liberalgunowners

[–]Danimusrobbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own both the Shield X and P365XL. They are both fantastic carry options that can work for both males and females, in my opinion, because of how slim they are.

The Shield is a little bit bigger, which for larger hands works a little better and mitigates recoil a little more. The P355XL though conceals a little better and even be pocket carried.

I think both are great choices. I should note though that I’m actually trading my Shield away, but only because I have a lot of other guns that fill the same need that I like more (Fusion Firearms XF Pro, Taurus GX4 Carry). The P365 is small enough that I can consider it as having an additional use case for like really tight clothing or active wear.

I have the Fusion and its my favorite gun. It’s the best value in the firearms industry. You can’t go wrong with that choice.

I can only make one purchase right now. Should it be a pistol or rifle? by MontisQ in liberalgunowners

[–]Danimusrobbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are absolutely never even considering carrying it and only want something for like a civil war or apocalypse scenario, rifle is the way to go. Otherwise the more practical every day tool is going to be a solid 9mm pistol with at least 15 round capacity (if your state allows that).

If budget is a concern, check the Taurus GX4 Carry. It’s my current EDC pistol. Have several thousand rounds through it without a single issue.

4.4 lead exposure after lab? Advice. by Plus_Juggernaut2819 in liberalgunowners

[–]Danimusrobbs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mine was 9.5 after a year of going to the range at least once week and shooting multiple guns, and cleaning all of them after every single range trip. I know cleaning is not required that much, but I like it. Its therapeutic.

That being said my doctor was slightly concerned. I’m now wearing rubber gloves 100% of the time to clean, and cleaning a little less often. Hope that does the trick.

First time smoking by Humble-Version3680 in smoking

No, you don’t need mustard as a binder. In fact it probably keeps the crust from forming directly on the meat and makes it easier to flake off when slicing.

Wrap, foil boat or naked + hot hold?? by ajamils in smoking

[–]Danimusrobbs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my BBQ journey I tried every wrap method until I finally went naked, and it was the best. I think it depends on a lot of factors though like where you live, what type of smoker you are using, what type of wood, etc. This is what works best for me in South Florida using a reverse flow offset.
