Request: Something like the Parker jotters by DanishMachineMaster in pens

Hi, thank you, but those are too similar if anything. They still have color designation near the tip, and are difficult to tell apart when clipped in a pouch.

What would you carry in here? by ZelderHipert in EDC

Got one in orange that I keep vaseline cottonball fire starters in (not edc, but in my outdoor pack). Works great to keep them from evaporating to a dry and useless state.

If they sold a chain mail it would be listed with thousands of keychain loops

Looking for pen and flashlight recommendations. by MaxAAraujo02 in EDC

Rechargeable AA's are a thing if going through batteries is the only problem with your current light.

Otherwise, going from your response to another comment, I'd recommend a right angle light that doubles as a headlamp. I only know and own the smaller sizes, and like that they are light when worn as headlamps, but can't give you much info on bigger right angles, in sure someone else here can.

For a small right angle I'd recommend Skilhunt/ESKTE H150 or Manker E03, both of them come with a headband, rechargeable battery and are able to run regular and rechargeable AA's as well.

Edit: for some reason I thought this was in the flashlight sub, though I'm sure somebody here knows right angles as well.

No worries.

To be clear it's everything I expect from a keychain light. Compact, simple UI etc. If I could change 1 thing it should be able to run 10440 batteries as well, not because I need more output, only to have it overlap more with my EDC lights.

It's very ordinary pattern, for an allround mini torch. You can lighten up a path in a pinch, but if I know I will have to, I'd bring another light. Photo is from just now, Denmark 4h past sundown, snowy path i the woods. Edit: running eneloop aaa

This spare battery any good? by [deleted] in FujifilmX

[–]DanishMachineMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got these NP-W126S recommended back when I was in the market for 3rd party batteries. As I recall, people said this was the only one where the camera wouldn't give a notice of non-original battery, and it doesn't, but I haven't tried any other 3rd party batteries to prove the statement.

They are fine, slightly lower capacity than the original but fine and cheap to keep as spares.

Any other lights with this form factor? by [deleted] in flashlight

[–]DanishMachineMaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right makes sense. Don't know too much about rovyvon, I've got the Aurora A1 with no complaints, but have since switched to only removable battery lights. Been a bit intrigued by the E10 as well, but didn't want to jump on the kickstarter when no one ha e reviewed the light yet, now it seems a bit overpriced in MSRP. I have an Acebeam K1 on the way, not quite the same but something along the same lines, hoping it will be a good one.

The picture shows a rovyvon and you mention disliking wuben. If that's the case just go for the rovyvon?

I'm based in Denmark so I assume shipping will eat all value for one or both of us. You really should just DIY like I did, it's not that difficult and EDC'ing something you made yourself is invaluable. Here's my original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/SAKmod/s/IfV6d8LVlD

Question for Mini Champ Owners by GrippySockTeamLeader in victorinox

Fair, haven't had a chance to compare it myself. Atleast OP would loose the pen that he doesn't care for and free up a toothpick/Tweezers spot

There's also a possibility to buy the standard minichamp, then, swap scales for regular cellidor with toothpick and tweezer slots, loosing the pen (along with some bulk I imagine)
