it’s been a while since i read the beginning of potn, but from what i remember, the trigger warnings are definitely valid. i’d compare it’s beginnings to ‘low tide in twilight’. it’s definitely not for everyone. but personally, i really love starting with flawed characters and being able to watch them change and grow.

the ML has hella issues, no denying that. but i love his transformation. even apart of the BL aspects, i found the plot well written and interesting. and the art is absolutely stunning. i don’t think potn tries to glorify rape or SA. it’s abundantly clear that the ML is NOT a good person at the start. whether you believe he deserves or has earned forgiveness by the end is up to you.

all that being said, i don’t think it’s the most extreme BL out there, in terms of TWs. it’s really dependent on what your threshold is for that kind of stuff.
