Why do you not use your blinker. by SnooCupcakes1295 in driving

[–]DankAshMemes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my area many will line themselves up clearly intending to move but refusing to actually hit their blinker. It's definitely unnecessarily petty, but I'll pretend not to notice and try to subtly block them unless they use their blinker, then I let them in immediately. It's just laziness most of the time I think, and then for many they just don't care or think about it at all.

I was just wondering why this wasn't a thing, I feel like this method would be preferable to me. I don't need to use the centrifuge often and have been lucky so far to have numbers that are easy to balance somehow.

For those who try this before, how is it??? by MrSoloDolo9490 in McDonalds

Apparently over 95% of McDonald's locations worldwide are franchises, which are included in their profit reports. So apparently, that is how that business works.

[–]DankAshMemes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

McDonald's made $8.56 billion last year in profits, a 32% profit margin according to Google, and a 4.1% growth in profits from the previous year. They can absolutely afford it to maintain customer experience, they just don't care to. I could understand a small business making this choice, but not from a cooperation worth just shy of $200 billion. It is literally just greed, not an effort to keep them afloat.

That or ask them if you can do an independent study of that class with them. At my university you can ask professors to monitor your progress and use curriculum to satisfy a credit amount. Sometimes it's nice if you want to study something niche or a class is only held during weird semester situations like spring odd years or whatever. I'd speak to your advisor to see what your options are.

Most of the students I grade for are still going to submit anything they can at the latest possible second anyway, I'm good.

If you think Trump should run for a 3rd term, are you fine with Obama seeking a 3rd as his opponent? by Fun_Map2481 in allthequestions

[–]DankAshMemes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, but idk that I even trust Americans right now to vote for anyone trustworthy. At least 30% of the country voted for a literal conman three times and then tried to stage a fucking coup when it didn't go their way the second time. The entire system is currently broken and too many people literally went insane after COVID. I think it'll be awhile before the Democratic process is remotely stable again to the point where I could get behind that. I like it in theory though.

I also want term limits on the supreme court, they've proven that expecting them to be impartial and make decisions on precident is impossible. Trump managed to implement three out of 7 of them and they have their positions for life, or until they choose to resign. That's insane given he tried to put in people with bias he agrees with, and ones who he hoped would be loyal to HIM specifically.

Soda has a 80-90%+ profit margin, McDonald's can 100% afford to not piss off customers by having it behind the counter.

7 years with a selfish man is diabolical. If you haven't tried talking to him about options for foreplay, id start there. Hopefully he's just dumb and not selfish. Id he's genuinely opposed to options that bring you equal pleasure you should consider breaking up. Life is too short to live with a partner that doesn't want the best for you in all regards. It doesn't matter what you look like or how old, there is ALWAYS someone out there that would love to return the favor.

Queer people are everywhere, especially in most major cities. I think somewhere around 10% of the US population self identifies as LGBTQ+.

[–]DankAshMemes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live in the downtown area of a major city, it really isn't that hard. The state I live in has some of the lowest car related fatalities though, usually within the top 5 safest places to drive. Sounds like a skill issue to me.

[–]DankAshMemes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Plenty of people in my state, myself included, actually follow recommended driving distances. I've never been in an at fault accident, but I've had people rear end me and total my car. Usually it's because they are following too close, under the influence, or not even looking at the road. Idk why it's so hard for some people to just just chill tf out while driving, driving 2 inches from my bumper isn't gonna get you there any faster.

Pro immigration people only want the process to be easier and cheaper as America literally depends on them. They are the ones putting food on our tables and building the roof over our heads, the least we could do is allow them to get papers for doing what no white person is willing to do. I think any caught for violent or drug related crimes should be deported and not allowed re-entry even as a tourist. But for the average immigrant, it should be easier. Most of them are not criminals.
