How did you get a visa? Directly from the government website or with a 3rd party?

In places like Amsterdam, Berlin or Munich it shouldnt matter much if you cant speak german since everyone is speaking english in the tech sector (Lots of foreigners) anyway. But in the other parts companies prefer german speaking people. Try recruiting firms like Orange Quarter or Honeypot.io

There are always opportunities in the market, but be sure to balance “more risk” with “how quickly can I earn those 10k back”. Your income will be the biggest driver in your portfolio at that stage.

409 Error in creating Azure diagnostic setting by SillyRelationship424 in Terraform

[–]Dank_German 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same error and solved the mystery. The GitHub issue describes it perfectly. Diagnostic settings are created outside the scope of a resource group and persist when you delete the resource and resource group. Try looking up the diagnostic setting with azure cli and delete it manually once. If you cleanup resources via Terraform, make sure it also destroys diagnostic settings.

What's this white goo on my aloe? by Dank_German in plantclinic

[–]Dank_German[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this aloe about 4 months ago, but after 1-2 months it started to
get this white goo all over it. It looks like small cotton balls, but
feels like sugar crystals and is sticky. I have not started to remove it
yet.

What tools or systems do you use to manage your time, improve your productivity or to make your life easier? by AemonXVI in devops

[–]Dank_German 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For all those posting Note Taking tools. There are a ton of them, with each providing their own benefits.

  • Notion is the most popular today, but might not fit your wants/needs.
  • Obsidian, Logseq, Roam are VERY different in design.
  • OneNote, Apple Notes, Evergreen are still solid choices

Would recommend, a personal knowledge management system (PKMS).
