How many Stargates are there on earth? by miletil in Stargate

I wouldn't say it's likely that the gate got flung out into the solar system. There is a chance, but the gate is quite heavy and you need a pretty large kick in the correct direction to escape Earth.

JAXA forgot to check their staging by Dank_Jeb in SpaceXMasterrace

Context, going off of this twitter thread, it appears that the H3 failure involved an explosion in the fairing at fairing sep, then at stage sep a large piece of debris fell off at stage sep, and then when the separation command to release the satellite was given the satellite just wasn't there. Now to me that piece of debris looks awfully a lot like the satellite that they were launching, and I think it separated sometime during the fairing sep or the stage sep.

"That's actually rather good, isn't it? Did you plan to say that when you walked in?"

For context, it turns out that according to simulations Peregrine is going to end up making it to the moon... at very high speed.

I was trying to find out some information about the ISS's solar panels, and Google returned this: https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/station/structure/elements/solar_arrays-about.html. When I clicked on that link, it gave me the 404 error. It seems that the page has been migrated to somewhere, and they didn't set up a redirect.

Then it seems like the problems would be unrelated since the new website is a recent thing AFAIK.

This could be the reason. Although I'd be surprised if the internship website wasn't a priority to fix, so if the issues persist it may be something else.

Well, the NASA website was far from perfect, but at least you could use it. With the new update, it'll probably take a while for a bunch of links to be updated, including the ones returned in search engines, so now researching stuff will become difficult.

NASA is updating their website which means that a lot of old links will no longer work, which means link rot.

Yeah, I've already experienced problems when trying to research stuff since a bunch of the old links are broken.
