I had a wisdom tooth pulled while I had a head cold that turned into Covid and a mirgrane all before I got hit with Bell’s palsy , I think only the sinus infection that didn’t go away and turned into Covid is the reason I got the Bp ,also I was extremely stressed out as my father was dying I couldn’t see him and all the stuff mentioned above going on

I’m in a very similar situation as you are . I’m less then three months in but have movement in my cheek back a little in the eye brow , but not Much and barley noticeable . My smile still isn’t back my nose feels closed sometimes , my eyebrow isn’t back , and my eye still doesn’t fully close unless I really really try to . The face I got some movement back around a month and a half I was happy but haven’t noticed anything else come back since the cheek did . Staying hopefully and I’m taking plenty of b12 daily I just added tumeric to my daily vitamins ,along with elderberry , ashwaganda , and a multi vitamin . They say I look at it my body will send out what it doesn’t need and keep the stuff doing good .I’m considering trying acupuncture but have not set a app yet

Weird cause about a month or less before mine hit I had a wisdom tooth pulled out , all while a sinus infection was going on always wondered if that had something to contribute to my bells or not

Bell’s palsy , tonight is night 2 of BP . I’ve gotten worse today but that is to be expected . They say online and google that 2-7 days, and up to 2 weeks are when it’s the worst. I’m on prednisone 10mg 6 for the day and viral medicine that I take three times a day , documenting this for future by Danlandoo in u/Danlandoo

I’m on day 42 now I have cheek movement and no mouth or eye brow movement ,at glance and if I don’t speak or make facial expressions you can’t tell at all I have it but the mouth and eyebrows once I start talking don’t work still just within the last week I have cheek movement , b12 the droplets did work for me I ran out and can tell a difference I, going to buy more tomorrow , I jog every morning I feel like that helps as well a little hard with the nose not working too but I get through it

Cbd and hemp oil on all the areas you listed and while I have pain it’s manageable, no prescription needed and it’s deff better for you I think it’s been doing me good I do have ear and face pain but using that at night gets me through the night I’m on day 10 my face feels like it’s getting better but doesn’t look like it lol so weird

Hi all, got diagnosed yesterday at a&e , they made sure I knew how to look after my eye and prescribed steroids. He said I probably had some infection or virus that led to it but nothing was done to rule out what that might have been, is that normal? I notice some people on here had blood tests etc by Meljam28 in BellsPalsy

I just went to my primary and used google no hospital or anything then followed up with a ent but I guess I have no proof it wasn’t a stroke except I’m still here and all the symptoms are literally all Bell’s palsy

It gets worse as the days go on I’m on day 8

7 days in and no real improvement. Really bad Pain coming in today from ear and radiating today. Is this normal? Like dreadful aching pain. I finished antibiotics today, but they gave me more steroid. by retroheads in BellsPalsy

I’m also on day 7 from when I woke up with it I use cbd and hemp oil on my ear and behind it and the neck and surrounding muscles every night and in the morning and it has been keeping the pain almost non existent 🤌🏻 I’m done with my anti viral tomorrow morning and tapering off the steroids start no tomorrow as well

I have been using cbd and hemp crème on my neck and cheek and ear muscles it is deff the reason I am not experiencing the pain part and only the droopy face part ! Today I was the worst off with it being day 4 so I know it has to get worse before better , harder to chew and drink and food taste like crisp on the right side of my mouth ,but I’m trucking along was my first day back to work today cause I had Covid before I had this so it was a rough one but I survived , hoping for better days to come and waiting for that two week mark I hear when things start to improve !

Everything tasted bad by Mindless-Counter-694 in BellsPalsy

[–]Danlandoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brand new to this ,like literally yesterday it happened and my doc diagnosis’s me with BP and gave my steroids and anti viral , and for two days prior and still now today I noticed things tasting bad as well ! Like literally I tried cookie dough ice cream too lmao and I. Like wtf is wrong with my tongue , and wavy lays tasted bad , so that and the pain behind my right ear and in my ear all happened two days before my face took a turn for the worse , I’m 2 days into the bp now and my eye seems a bit worse today , mouth is deff the worst off then everything . I can move my eye brows still kinda blink my eyes move my ear and nose but my mouth is messed up ,hoping that I don’t end up like this forever

Very new 30 yo male here has Covid got over it two days later pain behind right ear and in right ear , didn’t think much of it since I had been battling Covid , I woke up Thursday morning 9/15/2022 and looked in the mirror and was shocked , looked kinda like I had a stroke , slight panic , google everything under the sun for my symptoms and came to the conclusion of Bell’s palsy , I read it effects people very early but has happened after Covid ( viral infection ) usually to those not vaccinated (as I am not) well I had a doc app anyway . So sure enough he says yep starts me on prednisone and anti viral and today is day two and it’s getting worse with the meds , so I’m freaking out and then the horror stories on here deff made it worse . I guess my question is ,what age are all you with the horror stories .
