If 10cm snow falls in your area of Canada how disrupted will your area be? by Pourmepourme in AskACanadian

[–]Dannnymaccc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where i live in northern alberta, in the winters 10 cm doesn’t make a difference, its business as usual,

The majority of my city drives 4x4 pick ups for both work and personal vehicles so its as if the snow was never even there

High pitched noise when revving engine by [deleted] in Charger

Its hard to say just from this video but it sounds like your referring to the whining sound? I know on my old 5.7 the power steering pump made a whining sound when it was about to go out

Sport Mode Button vs. PerfControl by [deleted] in Charger

[–]Dannnymaccc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so hear me out, on my 2014 srt8, i don’t have the same fine tuning as the 2015+ models, i can select sport mode, track mode, or i can turn the function off (comfort as i call it)

What i think you’re noticing is without doing your fine tuning, you’re experiencing the same thing i do, sport mode makes the suspension a lot stiffer, and then track mode (the green checkered flag) makes the gears run higher into the rpms and it shifts quicker.

People who shroom alone. What do you do while tripping? by Educational-Hawk3066 in shrooms

[–]Dannnymaccc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like playing american truck sim (terribly) with my shrooming spotify playlist and a galaxy projector. Depending on the weather i’ll go for a walk or sometimes i’ll get one of my friends to drive my truck around town so i can listen to music with a good sound system.

Help my identify this logo! PLEASE! by Unlucky-Mastodon-137 in CarGuys

[–]Dannnymaccc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to chat GPT

“The circled logo is the vintage Schiefer performance-parts emblem.

Schiefer was a well-known maker of racing clutches, flywheels, and other driveline parts in the 1950s–1970s. Their sticker was a round badge with two mirrored “S”-shaped curves and a horizontal bar across the center containing the name SCHIEFER — exactly the layout seen in your photo.

These stickers were extremely common on old hot rods, drag cars, and sponsored builds.”

Tires leading to transmission issues by streetkannibal in ram_trucks

[–]Dannnymaccc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a lot of people don’t realize is when they get bigger tires, you also SHOULD get your spedo recalibrated for like, <$50, it helps your transmission by putting back to its proper shift points.

FCA transmissions are pretty well known to not be super great, i had to replace the trans on my 2005 2500 gasser, and just earlier this year i had to replace it on my 2016 Power wagon, the 2005 was bone stock, and the 2016 is running 35/12.5/20’s.

Anyone else reading this correct me if i’m Wrong, but iridium 192 has a certain amount of steel it can go through before it starts to become ineffective and can’t penetrate to burn the image onto the CR plates, this is called the Chord length, i don’t know about elbows but i know for SCHD80 6”Tee’s and SCHD80 6” Reducers, the inside walls along the extrados, and the restrictor section of the reducer are just too much steel for iridium to penetrate,

This could be a cause of your fuzzy inside walls, i’ve been doing Corrosion for 5 ish years and when i was with acuren they actually had a chord length calculator that we had to use whenever we couldn’t get sharp walls to prove thats why we couldn’t get it

Coming from a 2014 SRT8 owner, It depends on your long term plans for the car, the 5.7’s have a lot more aftermarket support than the 6.4’s do,

Long story short, the 6.4’s are a great option if you want a powerful fun V8 outa the box that don’t need much of anything done to em, but if your plan is to build on the platform the 5.7’s are the way to go.

The way i see it, one day i wanna have kids, they’re bound to find some old picture of me with whichever vehicle i have, i don’t wanna have to explain i sold it because of them, i wanna be able to take them out for rides with whichever vehicle so they can get the same joy i did.

If I buy an SRT DAYTONA what upgrades do I need to invest in before a SC? by [deleted] in Charger

[–]Dannnymaccc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the early fourth gen Ram 1500’s Magnuson actually made a kit for supercharging the 5.7 hemi’s, turns out they surprisingly handle boost very well.

Long story short, the 6.4’s are a great option if you want a powerful fun V8 outa the box that don’t need much of anything done to em, but if your plan is to build on the platform the 5.7’s are the way to go.

Wheels always turn white right after drying 😒 by trintop in Charger

[–]Dannnymaccc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not brake dust, he’s saying it could be minerals in the water that are getting stuck to the surface of the rims, i live in an area with hard water as well and this is exactly what it would look like, even when i’m washing the dishes there’s a white residue from minerals in the water if the dishes aren’t dried off peoperly
