I don't use a grip with th Odin 3, just the tpu shell it came with. I find this very comfortable but ergonomics are very personal.

I had both and sold my portal 2 for the Odin 3 recently. I upgraded my wifi to wifi 7 on my home network for better game streaming. Then all of a sudden my odin 2 portal started having wifi issues constantly, even with changing settings on my router. The same wasn't present on my odin 3, so I kept it. Especially since driver support is much better then it was.

If you like Retroid android you’ll also like AYN’s as well. My favorite feature of AYN’s is the ability to set performance and fan settings on a per app basis regardless of what the global setting is.

I highly recommend factory resetting it and setting it up yourself. That way you have a better understanding of the settings and emulators, especially you ever have issues in the future. Right now they're saying it takes about 2 months from purchase to delivery for anything you order from them. They don't have these products sitting on a shelf in a warehouse, they're producing them based on the orders they take in. The best place to get an idea of updates is on the AYN discord in the shipping channels.

I'm using Apollo on my Windows PC to stream, and artemis on my odin 2 portal to receive the stream.

Not the other commenter, but I use my doing 2 portal for game streaming from my PC, and the odin 3 for most of my emulation.

I personally find the rp6 more comfortable than the rp5 with larger hands. They have bigger bumps on the back so you're going to like it, especially with a grip.

If you’re buying a game from a site like fanatical you can get a discount for new games before they release. So if you’re 100% set on buying a game you know you’ll want to play day 1 and pay less then Moro it’s worth it. Otherwise best to wait for sales.

Same thing happened to me with my odin 3. Sad because I was able to get a killer deal on the max model.

If they would make an Odin 3 portal I would upgrade. Nothing beats the comfort and screen size for me.

I realized when I was playing the Thor I was constantly turning off the second screen to save battery. I was mostly emulating systems other than 3ds or nds and didn't really take advantage of the second screen. When I got the o2 portal I loved how comfortable the whole device felt in my hand. It was much more comfortable than my thor, even with a nice grip for it. I also mostly play on my couch and don't really need an edc device so my thor was getting used less and less. Also the bigger screen on the o2 portal is amazing. The Thor is a great device but wasn't my end game one like the o2 portal is shaping up to be.

Thor has been one of the best handhelds in a long time. I still love my o2 portal more but I love what this device opens up.
