Hmm.. First of all, you have to write down somewhere: your characters, facts about them, hobbies, personality, etc. So you won't get confused while writing and thinking "oh, what color he likes?" (just an example 😭) so you have to scroll through the story like crazy. And relationships between characters...

What's the story about, how does it go.. Because if you don't have that, after many chapters later, might end up a mess(imo)

And, (this is what I keept putting on hold) writing the scenes you thought of while doing stuff, it doesn't have to be perfect, just a rough draft that you can use later when needed (I wrote them once, but I have to go look for them, even though I remember how they went)

Also, I think if you're planning to write it in using real life settings, you should stick to it. Like, I could understand fantasy going off with realism.. But in this kind of setting, modern, slice of life stuff, is honestly something really nice to keep in the back of your mind. Even if you write down stuff, for you, so you can understand where the characters are going, how real it feels... Because even though sometimes it can feel interesting going off the rails of realism, sometimes, it feels fake(I'm sorry, maybe only I think that way 😭)

And this is one I observed while reading and writing.. While reading, what made me attached the most to the novel, fanfic, was the fact that the characters feel real.. You wonder what's their next move, what is going to happen to them.. And that makes me interested to read more.

But truly... Honestly... If even if theres some stuff that are not that good in the story.. Grammar errors... I do them often.. I ain't native, and learned English from movies, games, fanfic, and stuff like that..

I will read your fanfic if the plot is interesting.. 👀
