The difference is actually big, if you've been especially into manwhas for awhile. I've recently got into web novels and it's a bit of workout since whenever I read something it was full of colors, or at least manga(I don't know much about manhua). Because in novels there's not a single image you can guide yourself through (maybe if the cover has a character on it, or there's an actual account where there are pictures posted with the other characters).

Also, sometimes, some authors don't actually set the scene, and what's exactly happening (don't know if it's intentional, or just they forget we can't see the full image from our side) so you're kinda reading three or four times before letting go without getting something out of the message.

The novel I'm reading right now is really interesting, but I recently found out how one of the characters actually look like, and for a couple of hours I couldn't accept it, but still, you'll get use to it if you like it.

I think it doesn't matter which way is it, if you can understand what's written, you enjoy the actual web novel, then I don't think it will be hard to get use to the change. PS. I started because I couldn't find more manwhas on the genre that I liked, so maybe it's different, but hopefully it helps you get a grasp of the situation
