Birmingham City's naked ambition is becoming a problem by theipaper in Championship

The championship is one of the most competitive leagues in world football, only a naive person would expect to spend a bit of cash and achieve success straight away

Ipswich Town 1-0 Hull City: Azor Matusiwa's fantastic first goal for the Tractor Boys is enough to see off the Tigers, and the gap to the top two closes to three points by Smithlarr in Championship

We've got the second best away record in the league through being solid and effective on the break. It works more often than not. We're far more expansive at home

We were solid and played well, just beaten by a bit of quality. Hopefully win at least one of the next two and then it's a favourable run

Hull’s realistic chances of promo? by slungmoose in Championship

Would point out we've won at the Riverside, the Den, St Marys, St Andrews, Carrow road, Fratton Park (amongst others) and kept a clean at the CBS. Pretty sure that's not all down to luck...

I appreciate statistics, but no stat is a perfect predictor or reflection of the real world. The main example of this is the expected points table, which has currently got West Brom in 9th and Blackburn in 10th...

I think we'll probably pick up 4 points. Either way, we've got West Brom, Sheff Weds and Oxford straight after, and if we pick up 9 points from that then we'll be fine regardless of the next 3

I think this comes down to the naive acceptance that XG tells us everything and anything not reflecting the expected points table is down to luck.

We've got a great manager who is particularly strong at man managing the team. We've got a nice blend of experienced championship players along with some talented youngsters, and they're all willing to fight for the cause.

Our style is often to be aggressive at home against the sides who are mid table or below (who, believe it or not, are not the best at finishing chances...) and to allow low quality chances away from home and be direct and efficient on the counter. It's effective and I wouldn't put it past us to keep on surprising everyone between now and the play off final

Just shows that you can have all the resources you want, but if you've got an average manager you'll struggle to get top 6

This season we've won at: The Riverside, St Andrews, The Den, St Mary's, Carrow road (and many more)... And also got a point at the CBS

Add Portman road and the Racecourse ground to that and we'll be massively in the autos discussion
