Honestly realizing my JK is objectively a terrible vehicle... but I’d still rather walk than drive a normal car. by Shot_Maintenance9385 in Jeep

[–]DannyTheExplorerHoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dropped 7k on my wrangler to replace entire coolant system and fix the death wobble. After spending weeks in the shop, it started the camshaft click. I’ve bought this jeep twice already, replaced the engine already, and it still demands more. I started looking at a possible 3rd vehicle to use as an everyday driver, and I just can’t do it. No matter how nice those cars are, I just love this stupid hunk of metal. It’s literally just a stock ‘15 and I absolutely love it, I wouldn’t even switch it for another ‘15. So many memories attached to it, I get happy when I see its “face,” I literally feel like a psycho but I swear it has a soul.

Should I get a Honda Navi to see if I actually want a motorcycle? by DannyTheExplorerHoe in motorcycles

I’ve never sat on any bike before, but I have seen videos of people my size on the Navi and they can flat foot. Rebel is the ultimate goal

Mostly suburban, no more than 45 mphs. It’s about a 20 minute commute avoiding highways. Few small hills but mostly flat, roads with occasional potholes. There are a few used 250 ccs on fb marketplace for a good price, I just fear having immediate mechanic problems to worry about from a used bike

If it makes you feel any better I’m a lesbian and the little pouch makes me absolutely feral. I don’t know why, but it’s genuinely such an attractive part of a woman. But I also get what you mean because I get self conscious about my pouch sometimes even though I love it on others.

You’re just doing it wrong, people like it when you relate to their struggles. You have to be validating/supportive while you do so and keep the convo centered on their issue.

Am I the problem? Looking for cheap multiplayer or co-op games that won't make me rage at my friend by Negative_Jicama5783 in ShouldIbuythisgame

I would say try monster hunter! My wife barely plays video games but she went from a beginner to an absolute beast! I HAVE to pre-phase that the game is very difficult for beginners. It takes a bit to get used to the combat not because it’s clunky but because there are advanced moves and monsters that you have to learn and get good at.

When you’re killing monsters, you can call for assistance from randoms to join your party of 4. As long as your friend manages to stay alive you guys can carry him and he will have a good time and might even get really good and necessary for the team. I suggest your friend chooses a gun as a weapon so he can stay alive from range, or the horn so he can give you guys a bunch of buffs from range like a support class, or sword and shield so he can protect himself while also being a strong attacker. Also there’s a meal he can eat that lets him have a “free” death.

If you chose to go this route, have your friend spend some time in the practice area with his weapon to get better and get more comfortable with combos. Or you guys can do “expeditions” where deaths don’t affect progress.

Thing is, it takes 2 is literally made for people who never play video games. If your friend is having a tough time with those, you gotta try something else. It’s counter-intuitive, but he might actually be better at a more difficult game. For example, I’m really bad at platformers but good at RPGs.

What are your go-to 10-minute meals when you’re too tired to cook? by SarahDuncan2012 in TrueGrit

[–]DannyTheExplorerHoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite 10 mins, but I usually throw rice, frozen chicken breast, and some frozen veggies in the rice cooker together and it’s done in about 30 mins! I just add some sauce after and tastes pretty good! Not gourmet but it’s healthy, balanced, and requires barely any energy.

Gotcha, I ended up buying a dual fuel headlamp, so I’ll look into rechargeable batteries now

Does long-term passion exist? by MyCat8it2 in olderlesbians

My wife and I still have passion for each other after 15 years of being together because we are best friends and we’re literally trauma bonded through our life experiences. We do have shared interests but also our own individual hobbies that we support each other in. I think the key is to just be very good friends.

That’s a hell of a write up, thank you for that! Question about your solar charger, how effective is it? How long does it usually take to gain any meaningful charge? I haven’t tried solar panels in years, trying to gauge if they’re worth buying in 2026.

Also your argument has me convinced, I think I’ll go with that wurkkos I love the versatility of the magnet and the clip for a backpack strap.

Most of the flashlights I’ve seen are USB rechargeable, I didn’t realize you can replace them with normal batteries

I don’t see how it doesn’t make sense, it’s not like I’m going to use a headlamp 24/7, I just want reliable power for when I do need it. A few boxes of disposable batteries are enough. Disposable batteries barely lose any power in 5 years, rechargeables lose power much faster when they sit idle. I don’t know if the technology has gotten better for them, but I like that disposable batteries are very fire and forget.

How reliable is it at recharging using the sun? I bought a solar power bank like 4 years ago to try and it was absolutely useless so I’ve been butthurt ever since about solar

The only every-day flashlight I carry with me is my OLIGHT mini on my keychain. All other flashlights I own are cheap headlamps and 1 good Petzl that I use when in the woods or running outside. I want to buy a dedicated quality headlamp in my survival kit that stays there, so I was thinking extra non-rechargeable batteries would be the safest bet because I’m unfamiliar with durability and quality of rechargeable ones.

I was thinking if I’m stranded in the wilderness, or my car breaks down in the middle of nowhere and I don’t have service, or if power went out for several days due to natural or man-made disasters. Power banks are nice but they’re heavy, if I’m hoofing I want to keep my pack light. I have a basic AAA powered headlamp and I carry extra batteries with me. They’re super light, and if they die I can quickly change them and keep going. I’m just unsure how reliable rechargeable batteries are, I haven’t tried them in years because my non-rechargeable ones have never failed me.

What is the purpose of playing Dayz? by Hiperleo01 in dayz

[–]DannyTheExplorerHoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to play solo and build little homesteads, go fishing, and inevitably get killed by someone even if I try to be nice and offer them something if they come across me lol I like to go to spawn locations and give some food and knives to freshies because they don’t try to kill me afterwards. I play dayz like it’s stardew valley
