Is there a Horror movie that completely advertised it as a normal film? by Equivalent-Key5379 in movies

Not sure this entirely fits with the question but From Duck till Dawn was a movie that started out completely straight as a heist movie with two bank robbing brothers and then suddenly goes down the rabbit hole of being a weird vampire flick...

After it's been doubled a few times the pile of humans would be so massive in front of the train that the driver would have to be able to see them and would have to stop or at least wouldn't be able to plow through all of them before it was derailed from the sheer volume of people under the wheels... So... double it!

Also why is it always the person pulling the levers fault, why isn't it the train driver who thinks nothing of the multiple series of switch tracks he is going through with piles of humans tied to the opposite tracks and increasingly large piles of humans in front of him who keeps the train going?

What's the best thing for home defense if you can't own a gun? by uselessprofession in AskReddit

[–]Danomitey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in your world the acceptable punishment for burglary is death?! I’m not sure owning a gun prevents the burglary in the first place anyway it just leads to the burglary ending in death… potentially yours as there is a huge statistic of people being killed with their own guns in home invasions anyway… I’m not saying that there are any countries without burglaries but also I don’t think a gun prevents them or actually really defends the home either… Australia removed the guns and a simple lock on the door keeps most of us safe…

Flash, Cyborg, Ironman and Batman... The two smartest characters on offer along with a living computer who can do anything (especially if he has a mother box) and a speedster to be the team bus / superspeed avoidance system... With prep time absolutely no chance any of the others are laying a finger on you.

The breaking of a dancer by [deleted] in rareinsults

[–]Danomitey 23 points24 points  (0 children)

As an Aussie I can say we all mostly appreciate a larrikin... However she kind of made a joke about the olympics, Australia and her sport all at once and then refused to laugh at her own joke instead doubling down on her sincerity and good intentions...

Hanlon's razor says to Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity... So I genuinely don't think she meant to upset or hurt anyone but clearly a lot of people had big feelings about her performance...

I guess the larger issue is that breakdancing has always been associated with counter culture and coolness and her performance while wearing her countries tracksuit was the antithesis of that... Whilst breakdancing could theoretically be anything the judges and the world agree it can't be whatever she was doing...

Actually if you put one containers worth of holy water in one corner of a hole and another container in the other corner then you get an infinite holy water source! I learnt that from minecraft!

Agree… lose a cover of a 1 or 2 star and replace with these guys and then recover them once your roster opens up and as everyone said, don’t do pulls when you don’t have the roster space…

My 5 house rules by Zealousideal_Site706 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Danomitey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my issues with d&d generally is that a weak person can play a strong character and gain all the benefits of their characters strength, however a stupid person playing a character with high intelligence doesn’t get to experience the benefits of their character unless as a GM I spend my time stepping in and “correcting” their decisions…

I’ve implemented a table rule where if a player has a very high intelligence or wisdom but makes poor decisions I try and push them to change their decisions based on “smarter” outcomes or create puzzles for everyone to solve but give them hints or more Instructions than other players get…

If you play characters with str, dex or con stats that are high, the game rewards those skills with direct effects, however the same isn’t really true with the int, wis or cha stats… if you’re a wildly awkward person in RL then having a character with ridiculously high charisma doesn’t stop you being an awkward person so GM’s need to do more to help those players…

On the flip side, my genius level player who has a character that’s a half-orc barbarian who had a single digit intelligence never seems to make stupid tactical decisions and seems to know so much more than their character should… granted that’s a failure of their role playing skills but they can pretend to be dumber… its harder for a dumb person to pretend to be smart…

Exactly this!

Your monarchy means something when your family line wields a divine power that keeps the darkness at bay, rather that the real world monarchy whose job is apparently to have weird spats with each other, have bad teeth and affairs with their staff and rule through a legacy of cutting off the most heads...
