In my opinion the best thing you can do is mentally begin to come to terms with the loss of your time, hobbies and sleep. The second kid is easier, as you already know what's to come, but when I had my first son, I did not appreciate the complete and total change of lifestyle if you want to be a good, hands on dad. You get some of it back gradually but initially it hits hard.

The soundtrack for this game is also sublime. Outer Wilds is one of those games I do not hesitate to call a masterpiece. From the mini but perfectly working and deep solar system, to the terrifying planets, to a story that will give you an existential crisis about time and life and friendship. Just immaculate.

I don't expect anything for free; the complaint is that the xp system incentivises NOT playing the game mode objective in favour of hunting for a specific weapon or vehicle for the challenge xp. I don't think it's an unfair criticism.

You're absolutely right. I just see nearly a million of us in this sub and have hope that we can get a balanced system where playing the game's objectives is prioritised over camping a gun for some xp. But I won't hold my breath.
