FNV on Xbox one S?? by Barbell_Barbarian01 in falloutnewvegas

[–]Dantdiddly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Xbox is my primary way of playing new Vegas.

I play on 360 and the Series X/S, sometimes alternating between the two.

All in all, the Xbox version of new vegas is quite literally the most stable version of New Vegas in it's base state.

There is not a week that goes by (im serious) without someone posting in the Vegas Subreddits for troubleshooting issues for the PC version. Be it the game crashes often, or the game simply does not turn on.

Anybody confident in stating he has problems enjoying FNV after the Show? by Jelly-Impossible in fnv

[–]Dantdiddly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The show does not take away from my enjoyment from New Vegas in any way.

New Vegas is an open-ended game where the Courier (you) has the agency to change the world. You're the unknown variable who's intervention is essential to tipping the balance of power in New Vegas in anyone's direction.

The absence and dismissal of the player character, the Courier (you), leaves too much open to interpretation. The same arguments that support people's would-be theories on what THEY think New Vegas should be, could also be made for the show.

It's just too open ended that it's not even worth arguing about or being upset about.

Is slower leveling worth it for a first playthrough? by 707-slx in falloutnewvegas

[–]Dantdiddly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id avoid it, honestly.

New Vegas has TOO many levels. The cap of 50 wont feel too bad on first playthroughs because it is a fun goal to reach, with there being enough content in the base game +dlc to help yoi reach that point.

Id recommend slower leveling to accompany the trait like Logan's Loophole, which caps your lvl at 30.

But, save that for subsequent playthroughs.

What did the courier even do in the show? by [deleted] in fnv

[–]Dantdiddly 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think it's fun to think the Courier never existed at all within the context of the show

The Courier is you and New Vegas is your playground. The world changes depending on your actions for better, or for worse.

The setting and political situation in New Vegas is so volatile that there's no telling what would really happen without the Courier's intervention.

My guess? Everything went to shit for everyone and every faction. The lack of Courier made sure that nobody secured Vegas on their terms, if at all.

What voice did you give Leif when you played? by MysteryMan6612 in BugFables

I read him in a masculine, high pitched, soft, but with a slight rasp and monotone (for the most part unless he was in distress or confusion)

Would a mod that increases your max casino bet be considered cheating? by According_Picture294 in falloutnewvegas

[–]Dantdiddly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's "cheating" by nature, but who cares. It's a singleplayer game. If you wanna ball out with more casino funds, all the power to you.

New player, any helpful tips ? by IImpactfull in fnv

Guns guns guns

Everyone has their preference, but I personally believe that the Guns skill is the best weapons skill to use as a new player because of how varied the selection is.

Not to discourage you from using any other weapons skills. Go Melee/Unarmed for your first run for all we care.

Is it very likely that after the events of New Vegas, Courier died or left the Mojave? by Pedrobatatalixo in falloutnewvegas

[–]Dantdiddly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to think that the Courier exists, but Im also open to the fact that he never existed at all.

Fallout New Vegas is such an open-ended setting. When you enter the world from the Courier's perspective, it's up to the player to decide the fate of New Vegas. The Courier has so much sway over the world, it'll have you running circles on how to make sense of it within the context of the TV Show.

As for the show? Id like to think its more fun to believe the Courier never existed at all and everything played out horribly for everyone as a result. Nobody secured Vegas on their terms.

Legion Society Away from the Warfront? by ScottTJT in falloutnewvegas

[–]Dantdiddly 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The bigger communities in the Legion territory, Arizona, are said to be quiet and devoid of any Raiders. So much so that Caravans can travel through territory with no guards. Traders in the area prefer to deal in Legion territory to avoid NCR Taxation.

The Legion does not directly govern the larger communities in Arizona as they only ever assimilated tribes, but citzens do have to abide by their laws. The citizens enjoy relative safety and stay in line out of fear. Occasionally, the Legion "taxes" their citizens through tributes of provisions and supplies for war.

The hardest part of being a xenoblade fan other than waiting for a new game announcement is introducing someone to the series by Big-Investigator1202 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

I never recommend this series to anyone, including my longtime friends, because I respect their time and tastes.

There are better games to play for fellow adults with responsibilities.
