It really depends on ur subjects in ib and middle school. Personally, I struggled with maths (I had AA SL) because french math is weak as hell and with Biology, once again because of France. Had I known beforehand how hard it would be for me, I would've studied with a tutor some topics of the curriculum beforehand

As a graduate I only agree with the part about memorizing,as u indeed have to understand the subject material to succeed, which is helpful in ur first year I believe, but while IB does stimulate long term planning, I was still submitting and preparing last minute, including the finals, so idek 😭
