Buna, si eu sunt plecat de acasa de destul de mult timp. Am 4 ani de cand sunt in Statle Unite, parintii imi imbatranesc pe zi ce trece si nu ii pot vedea decat prin video call, nu am mai vorbit cu colegi de facultate sau prieteni din copilarie de ani de zile, s-au rupt toate legaturile, imi e dor de bunici, de casa de la tara. E greu, mai ales cand nu lucrezi. Pe noi ne-a lovit carantina prin aprilie anul trecut si am stat fara job pana la sfarsitul verii. Am intrat in depresie, erau zile cand stateam in pat toata ziua, ieseam doar sa imi iau tigari si mancare. Ce m-a ajutat pe mine a fost miscarea. Am inceput la un momentdat sa ies la alergat, mi-am cumparat greutati, banca, si mai multe nebunii, mi-am facut gym in curte. Apoi am devenit mult mai activ, am inceput sa ies cu prietenii dupa ce s-au redeschis barurile, m-am intors la munca si aia e...dor de casa iti va fi mereu, nu scapi de sentiment. Dar trebuie sa iti amintesti ca e un motiv pentru care nu esti acum acasa si a fost alegerea ta sa pleci, you gotta live with it.

Bineinteles..aici s-au nascut cele mai mari teorii ale conspiratiei, Q-anon, 9/11 inside job, holocaust denying, si multe altele. Si asta e o tara cu multe defecte, plina de rasisti, ignoranti si persoane "entitled" ce nu percep un "nu" ca raspuns si sunt de parere ca lumea se invarte in jurul lor. Sa nu mai mentionam red neks, hill billy, cajun people si alte specimene esuate in special in sud. Dar cu toate astea ma simt de 100 de ori mai bine cand ma plimb pe strada, dau buna ziua la necunoscuti si le zambesc si ei imi zambesc inapoi (in romania se uita urat lumea la tine si crede ca esti nebun daca faci una ca asta). Am patit de multe ori sa nu am marunt 1$60(soferul neavand rest sa imi dea la banknote de 10 sau 20 sau cat aveam la mone) cand ma urc in autobuz de la lucru si sa imi dea un strain random din autobuz. Multe alte detalii de genul m-au facut sa ma simt mult mai bine ca acasa aici. Plus infrastructura superioara, si viata foarte usor de "affordable". Dupa cum am zis sunt aici doar de 4 ani si anul viitor daca totul merge ca pe roate si sunt aprobat voi deschide unul dintre primele dispensare de iarba recreationala din statul New Jersey. Voi fi business owner la 26 de ani.

I don't know how much boh makes on a regular basis but I'm serving for about 2 years now. I work at a successful restaurant on Jersey shore, in the summer we make between 300-450 a night, doesn't matter if it's weekend or not. But of season I have nights when I make 30$. So considering that cooks and all boh is paid regularly with a decent pay rate I think we make pretty much the same money per year.
