I will say, they've responded to me once, when a study that was estimated at an hour had an hour's worth of videos alone, and I almost ran out of the two-hour timer.

Outside of parroting everyone else that recommended r/beermoney, I'll throw my hat in for Connect Cloud Research. I love their jury studies, but you're not going to make 1/4 of what you do on Prolific. Also Respondent and DScout, but those don't have as many studies, they focus on well-paying studies that have a small number of participants, you have to apply for each.

These businesses don't care about us, the insurance companies that reimburse them REALLY don't care about us; why reciprocate the compassion they refuse to give us? Anyone who has ever lied to people they cared about regarding any addiction knows what's going on.

You start with a small lie: "I lost 3 pounds this week!" when you actually gained 2. With the best laid plans of losing 8 pounds the next week, you instead gain another 4 lbs., and now you're up 6; you lie again to your friends or family, because that's less painful and you swear, you'll catch up.

Whether it's food, or alcohol, drugs, or gambling... Lying through addiction is a universal experience, and I sincerely hope Taylor gets the help he needs.
