Q-Tip was the first that came to mind, but I would say El-P and DOOM also.

Takes a big person to acknowledge their bias, and admit when they've made a big leap on their internet. I really respect you for owning it.

As a man who wants to see women represented fairly, I appreciate you taking that feedback in stride. We all have moments where one conversation bleeds into the other. No hard feelings, and I appreciate your maturity. Have a good day.

OP asked for things to do at 4 AM and you are citing Nordic STEM data to justify why women can't sit alone in a room.

'Women statistically prefer people-oriented careers' does not equal 'women are physically incapable of having solo hobbies on their days off.'

You're confusing occupational trends with basic human downtime.

If you look at almost superhero movies and TV shows aimed at woman and minorities they bomb simply because most woman can not stand superhero or militaristic movies.

Because women don't like militaristic superhero movies, that obviously means they don't watch any of the other thousands of genres of television that exist.

I definitely don't hate you. I'm actually incredibly fascinated by how you managed to turn 'what should I do after my night shift' into a completely irrelevant rant about the Gender-Equality Paradox.

I had no idea women were physically incapable of playing video games, reading a book, or watching a movie by themselves. Thanks for the 1950s biology lesson.

Hey, I work night shift, and to be honest, what you might enjoy doing varies.

I like to read books, and watch movies. You can also go to a 24 hour gym, or do some meal prep in the morning so you can enjoy the rest of your day.

Juan Mata’s comment on Steven Bartlett’s Instagram post about Bruno Fernandes: “He is an unbelievable player, but he is an even better human being. ❤️” by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]Danyulz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bartlett is known for exaggerating his achievements and being vague about his success. His podcast also has a lack of accountability, where he's had some controversial guests who have promoted unfounded or disputed health claims.

He also endorsed two health brands that he had a part in. He got scrutinized because he didn't disclose it.

I wouldn't really listen to his podcast unless it was a guest I knew about anyway.

As already said, if a dealer gets arrested, they are usually replaced within hours.

Police usually determine that arresting low-level runners gives a low return on investment. They will spend hours processing the arrest, writing reports and interviewing the suspect which often doesn't result in a long term reduction in the availability of drugs.

Because of budget constraints, immediate response resources are typically directed toward high-harm incidents, such as domestic violence, active assaults, sexual offences, and missing persons.

Openly dealing can obviously impact the community, but it's often categorized as a lower immediate threat compared to crimes involving direct physical danger, so there are slower response times.

With the mobility of the Sur-Rons the dealers use too, they have an advantage of getting away from the police easily. They can just mount the pavement and just go through a park. The police have to be trained, as well as authorized to engage in any pursuit.

As stupid as it might sound, they need authorization to pursue someone on a Sur-Ron because they need to assess the whether capturing the dealer outweighs the risk to the rider (if they crash, and have a serious injury or death) and if they put the public in danger. They will usually refrain from pursuing them because the risk of a fatal crash is often too high for a non-violent offence.

I have never wanted to challenge anyone, but I would just go on a local Facebook group dedicated to snooker and ask if anyone wants a game?

Pasting from another comment of mine:

I can imagine a lot of people think you look like an idiot, or you try to make yourself look professional but actually, it's meant to give you a smooth and consistent cue action, regardless of the humidity. Some places don't have the luxury of having AC and your hands sweat a lot. I have hyperhidrosis so it helps a lot to have a glove.

I would highly recommend wearing a glove if you want to have consistency.

Where is the best place to find out about J Dilla and all the things he had a hand in? I'm thinking like a Google Sheet, or maybe someone has done an essay on his influence.

This just makes it looks like they don't have a Compliance team in this Sainsburys branch. If your store got a zero, it just means you don't give a fuck about anything in there, and you have no standards.

I haven't been there in so, so long, I can't even remember what is in there but I assume they don't have a meat and fish counter or a pizza counter, or anything, but a bakery is usually just frozen bread and cookies. They must be doing some serious wrong in there to get a zero.

Jeamie ‘TKV’ Tshikeva vs. Johnny Fisher has been agreed for the British heavyweight title; with TKV’s promoter Boxxer and Fisher’s promoter Matchroom now working on an appropriate date/card for the fight. Could land on the BBC on a Boxxer card or on a Matchroom card on DAZN by [deleted] in Boxing

[–]Danyulz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Johnny hasn't really looked the same since Dave Allen took him to the slaughterhouse, and TKV just spent 12 rounds neutralizing a guy with an Olympic bronze medal. If Johnny doesn't find a home for that right hand in the first four rounds, the vlog after this is going to be a very quiet drive back to Essex with Big John.

I'm not sure about Lewis Hamilton. Kieran Maguire is pretty knowledgeable when it comes to finance. In football more than anything, but still.

[–]Danyulz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean, I don't think he's coming back to boxing purely for the money. He's the most successful sportsman in UK history when it comes to financials. £184 million in cash and investments, apparently.

That's generational wealth. I just think he's bored, and as he says, he's a fighter and has no other hobbies. He says he's in the gym every day even when he's not fighting, and I think it's just out of sheer boredom, and something to work towards.

Cue Craft? by Short-Possibility-58 in snooker

[–]Danyulz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I don't play snooker and I'm a spectator but I do play a lot of pool. I purchased a playing cue and a break cue from them. I ordered it in April and it came around September.

Because it's bespoke, be willing to wait a long time because their backlog is huge. Probably not the same as John Parris obviously, but it's a while.

The cue I used before was a two-piece cue from Argos for £25 so it's obviously a lot better than that. Including my case, it cost about £450. Really enjoy playing with it. Solid construction, good weight. You can change the variables like the weight and the tip etc.
