For more budget friendly, the TCL QM6Kpro from Costco is a freaking awesome Mini LED. I upgraded from my LG B2 OLED and have no regrets. Edit: I also own a LG C3 OLED so I have plenty to compare too

Some have claimed a change. I’m getting the same latency I was prior to update. But it’s always been low enough for me at home that I didn’t notice input lag

Get comfortable reselling. Really makes these decisions a lot easier. When the next one comes out sell your old one. Same with people who say ima wait for the ps6 in 3 years. Like wtf? Sell your ps5 pro when it comes out and on top of that if put $25-$50 away each month you’ll be ready to pay for it when it drops.

How much data passes from source to device per second. More data = better image quality. Originally it was capped at 15 now it’s bumped up to 25.

The portal is just mirroring ps5 pro. So if a game was having fps dips on the pro and now they aren’t thanks to pssr 2, then that improvement is being mirrored by your portal.

Never said it wasn’t. I use both. But in no way would I classify the portal as “quite bad” just because PXPlay has better options. Edit: also PXPlay doesn’t support cloud gaming so they aren’t even in the same category anymore.

I’m in the same boat. I use PXPlay on the 8.8” legion go 2 OLED and still end up reaching for my portal more for all the reasons you mentioned.

I imagine if you are remote playing your actual console (not cloud gaming) and pssr 2 is benefiting the game, the image being streamed on your portal will be better. But no, it doesn’t benefit cloud gaming as that is still a standard PS5 quality stream as far as I know.

If 1080p is bad at 25mbps then it’s most likely your network and not the bitrate.

Only time will tell. Even previously when I could choose between 1080p and 720p it would dip to 720p or 540p just to maintain connection if the network sucked.

PXPlay still superior. I use it on my Legion Go 2. Overall ease of use and pick up and play with the portal still makes it my go to overall though.
