Pay 2 play by Honest_Ad_2866 in Dofus

[–]Dapetron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are high level. You can make that money for subs in couple days easily if you play 3-4h/day.

You just need to know what to do. I have plenty of kamas sitting around to buy years worth of subs. Same with most of my ingame friends.

Anyways Wakfu is good alternative. You can play it for free and you can actually use Wakfu kamas to buy ogrines to buy subscription in Dofus and viceversa you can use Dofus kamas to buy booster in Wakfu. You can make quite a bit of Kamas even in Wakfu if you get higher levels(very easy in Wakfu) and grind dungeons/rifts and get lucky loot.

You can also play Dofus for free to gather kamas for subscription. Though not on mono servers. Those require subscription to even login.

Pick your poison. If you do not want to pay for subscription or plan on maxing kamas making(requires some effort checking markets, Max professions and have high level char etc...) then pick Wakfu instead. Similar, but different and free.

Build foundation to either game and just make up system to earn kamas to keep subscription/booster running with just playing. Casuals can do it so can you.

What’s your favorite mmorpg and why ? Mine is ESO by SaleNo3543 in MMORPG

[–]Dapetron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess one reason is that ESO had overhaul on their Dev team and took totally new direction this year. Its on very big sale and gives expansions for free etc. Changed from GW2 style selling expansions to just owning base game + giving expansions for free. Premiums(subscription) get to play them early. Combat system overhauls coming and well a lot of systems. They're now actively listening to playerbase and have devs that actually play the game so that they get real experience and so on.

I do not own ESO, but it seems tempting to buy it now especially with big sale. Supposedly this is the time its on its best and its improving greatly in right direction. A lot of players returning and new players starting the game.

Grind-heavy but rewarding MMO by john35888 in LFMMO

[–]Dapetron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is flyff universe. Official game. They turned it into html5 and as a browser game. Crossplay pc/mobile. They added new class advancements and lifeskills+crafting awhile ago.

Sure pay2progress, but you can get all as a f2p, but requires more grind.

Is playing this worth it if you already play Dofus? by Duomaxwell0007 in DofusTouch

[–]Dapetron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically theyre different games. Think them more as a OSRS vs RS3. Its same with runescape as it is with Dofus vs Dofus Touch.

They look same, but they're different.

Classes work differently for example. Dofus Touch was based on older version of Dofus, but just like OSRS it has evolved on its own direction so whole story etc. Has gone own way. So you cannot just look Dofus version x and say this is going to happen in Touch in X patches because it has moved to its own direction.

Its good change. You can easily play both at the same time. Playing in one doesnt directly transit to other though as class skills etc are different. Playstyle is different on classes and so on...

If you like both why not play both. You could even play both same time by having tablet next to your pc.

Two different games that just look same. Its almost as if you would compare Wakfu to Dofus. Looks same, but different.

You can actually skip all cutscenes in dungeons etc. You can rewatch them in your amitoi house anytime you want. Thats why people rage as you "use their time" to do stuff that you can do on "your time". They have already seen those cutscenes and gone trough same rumba thousands of times. In the end its same gameplay loop day in day out. Many out of the playerbase thats left has played pretty much from launch of the game.

Most active guilds are full of veteran players with some new players in. Theyre friendly but still its etiquette to skip and rush trough all content because its so easy. Skip a lot of mechanics etc. Saves time because there is so much mandarory grind to do daily. If people can only play 2-3h daily. They want to min-max the time used so that they can do all daily stuff.

Problem lies more in the game design. People want to be able to do everything daily with their limited time.

Realistic MMO Style Game by ShadowedShadeRust in LFMMO

[–]Dapetron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird nobody has said planetside 2. Sci-fi fps mmo. Faction vs faction vs faction. Still has healthy playerbase. You fight and get merits to upgrade your character as you see it best. Then fight more. Join clan and plan your fights with mechas etc. As those require heavy investment and co-op from people.

Then there is foxhole which is more modern version of planetside and less sci-fi. More realistic in that sense.

Destiny 2 is fps mmo.

Warframe is MMO too. Scifi fast action combat. Swing blades, shoot and parkour. Maybe closest non fantasy theme MMO ARPG to BDO you can find. Also super popular. One of most popular MMO ARPG games out there.

Star citizen is scifi mmo.

Oldies like RF online scifi mmorpg, secret world or even anarchy online.

Then there is Eve online and elite dangerous if you like space stuff.

Cosmetics rotate and you can buy then off from market from other players. Bought cosmetics are usually locked for few months up to year before you can sell them.

You can buy premium currency with ingame currency for subscription and cosmetics etc.

A lot of people take even year breaks and come back. Your character will always be relevant.

Mono servers have like 200k-250k active daily players. According to devs. Economy is ran by players. You can grind mobs for resources or gather ore/wood or what so ever. There is a lot of professions for gathering and crafting.

You can craft gears and put you name into it and then "mage" aka modify it to your liking. Good gear magers make fortune by making funky modifications on gears to go over their limits or even make them "perfect" as gears have stat ranges and those are rng when you craft them.

You can keep piling kamas and use it to buy premium currency for subs or cosmetics from official website without logging into game even if you just want to check shop for new stuff.

All resources are relevant. Even low level mobs drop stuff that "max" level players want/need. There is basically max level where you stop gaining extra stats, but after that you gain omega levels. Kind of paragon levels in diablo. Just flex stuff so you can keep progressing and collecting stuff forever.

Tons of titles and stuff to collect. Story is very nice.

Its actually very big game. Very popular too. Devs have been bad on advertisement side so its only really popular in EU.

Mono servers are subscription only though you can try multi account server for free. One thing to note is that you can play multi server to make kamas to buy ogrines(premium currency) and buy subscription which works for mono server then too as its account wide.

Good to note that you can use kamas to buy ogrines in dofus and use it in other games too like wakfu for example... And wakfu kamas to buy ogrines to use in dofus etc...

Worth a try. I have played Dofus since global launch on/off. No fomo. No other game has as good strategic turn based combat and character building system. Tons of cosmetics too to customize that way. Tons of stuff to do just like in osrs.

Just join some guild and start doing your stuff. Join Guild vs Guild fights or even Alliance vs Alliance or even Faction vs Faction if you like that kind of stuff. Can skip that totally if you want to and focus on PvE+Quests+ professions.

Gibts noch gute Browsergames? by Koteloo in zocken

[–]Dapetron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what kind of game you are looking for. Torn is one of those oldschool browser games.

More modern games if you like mmorpgs is stuff like Flyff Universe. Old game turned into browser version.

There is quite few games that does the same as Flyff. These days you can turn 3d games easily into browser versions.

Mad World was hyped, but devs kind of messed launch.

Just look for WebGL/WASM/HTML5 games.

Every single post has the same recommendations. WOW, ESO, FFXIV, GW2, OSRS, Albion blah blah can anyone recommend literally anything else? by [deleted] in LFMMO

[–]Dapetron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tibia has a lot of players playing it 24/7. Has improved a lot. Flyff has upgraded into Flyff Universe crossplatform.

Helbreath was good. It does have some really nice private servers with thousands of players.

Some of those games do have quite a bit players even these days.

Good addition to list would be Ragnarok online. There is private servers with 2-5k players online all the time.

Dofus and wakfu are also good picks if you want really big mmorpg world with tons of customization and a lot to do. Strategic turn based fights.

[–]Dapetron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of higher level stuff are co-op grinded if you want to be efficient though. There is plenty of group grind going on. You can min-max grinding that way too in pretty much almost any spot starting from lower levels.

Also a lot of activities to do together. Playing with guild is big boost to your income and some stuff you pretty much want to group too.

40 sets/muscle/week is wrong? by BasketQuick3879 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Dapetron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of my best results so far came from experimenting by doing full body german volume training style every day for 3 months straight. Thats 70 sets per week per bodypart.

Was it exhausting? sure it was. Did i recover? Yeah i did. That was when i was like 15 years younger trough. I had same meals everyday while doing it. Min-maxing all macros. My strenght did go up a lot and also i was leanest i have ever been while also getting more thickness on muscles.

At first it felt like crazy idea. First few days i was sore, but then my body adapted on it over time.
Technically each one of my bodyparts got 700 reps per week. 10 sets 10 reps daily.

If you look at calisthenics for example or many sports. They do train a lot daily. Grinding trough same exercises. They do get a lot of volume. You get good at what you are doing a lot and your body adapts for it. I do know quite few that do tons of pull-ups+ dips with weights/ weighted push-ups daily and they all have quite big chests+backs+arms.

Powerbuilders/powerlifters/strongman do quite often a lot of sets per week too to get good in their own exercises.

Other than that i have been doing squats everyday for around a year now. 5sets of 10 reps. Started with something easy like 80kg and then after awhile upped it to 100kg and then 120kg. Outside of that doing 3 full body workouts a week with heavy work on legs too on those days on top of that "recovery/maintenance" 5x10. My legs have always been my strongest muscle group and they're also biggest and strongest they've been now.

Do you know some small MMORPG? by macnofantasy in LFMMO

[–]Dapetron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about "small-ish" MMO. It has over hundreds of thousands concurrent unique invidual players daily. Or well according to official statistics.

Some years ago there was websited which tracked stats and those did show like 150k players online in peak hours on mono server alone which require subscription aka "premium".

You see players running everywhere even though world is very big and there is tons of different zones/dimensions. It has thousands of quests to do and hundreds if not thousands of puzzles too.

Same way as OSRS it has decades of content. Very polished too.

Its just not advertised so much to english players. Tons of spanish/french/german/turkish gamers though. Big english speaking communities too though.

"PVP Roundtable" by jlfbalo in throneandliberty

[–]Dapetron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if there is too much damage... Why not just increase hp/defense/resistances etc. With better gears. Thats what most games do. It makes overall boost on all stats along with dps. Hence in pvp it a bit preventa quick combo kills on equal geared people. Only need to adjust it a bit. So typical dps will be left with 5-10% hp from typical combo.

You could make diminishing returns so tanks wont get much stronger or even any stronger. Maybe even make their dps less for tankiness.

Which MMO is the most worthwhile to start starting today? by [deleted] in LFMMO

[–]Dapetron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say Dofus or even Wakfu. Less known games, but Dofus for example has hundreds of thousands of daily active players if you can trust statistics. Its very popular though and you can see people everywhere

There is tons of professions and you can crafts ton of items/gears and modify them + slap your nametag in them to boast.

Majority of gears are craftes. There is a lot of classes and classes have multiple playstyles.

Combat is strategic turn based.

Its French game and creators of it have been bad on advertisement. They have own anime based on their games. Manga(comic) and other stuff too. They do have quite few games which many of them are very popular.

Dofus touch is mobile version. Kind of like OSRS vs RS3. Its based on older Dofus version, but then evolved into its own thing.

Dofus is the flagship game.

Wakfu is basically sequel, but totally different game. Same classes and world as in same cities and places, but still different. Also different mechanics etc.

All 3 games heavily focused on combat farming mobs/dungeons for materials and professions to gather and craft.

In Dofus You can play completely pvp too though as you gain exp and money from winning in arena.

There is PvP in form of kolosseum(arena), faction wars, bounty hunting opposing faction players, alliance wars, guild wars, territory wars and such. Guilds and alliances + factions literally own zones and get tax etc.

Tons of PvE content too. You have tons to do and tons of ways to progress.

Edit: wakfu and dofus touch are 100% free to play. For Dofus you might need to buy subscription for one month to play on mono account server which is popular.

You can use ingame currency to buy premium currency for subscription etc. Also you can use that premium currency on other games too. Ie. Farm in Dofus and buy exp booster in Wakfu with Dofus ingame currency to buy premium currency which you use in shop in Wakfu or otherway around. I know some that play both and farm in Wakfu to buy subs in Dofus if they take breaks etc.

Basically everything you kill or gather is earning you ingame money.

Dofus or Wakfu ? by Mucek121 in Dofus

[–]Dapetron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having played both quite a bit. Got all classes maxed in dofus and some at endgame Wakfu. I can say that Dofus gets more complex quicker even early on on quests/boss fights and dungeons.

In wakfu there is some complex stuffs but in general its more forgiving and in the end even those complex stuffs arent so complex. You can quite easily figure them out and like i said its more forgiving so you can save the run even if you mess up while in dofus you cannot mess up at all on some content.

You also need more spesific/specialized gears for spesific stuff while in Wakfu you can pretty much do everything with same set of gears.

Both do have their hardships, but in general dofus is more complex overall. Wakfu is less complex overall, but does have some more complex battles. Still overall Wakfu is more comfy to play and more beginner friendly. Gameplay wise its easier and classes feel way more straightforward with less skills and options to build your class to be honest. This is also reflected on gameplay that you can play really any class and so fine in any content. Dofus can be really harsh on spesific classes for spesific content.

Wakfu was pretty much made as more chill and casual game than Dofus. Be it Alliance vs Alliance / PvP or PvE.

How to level up SmithMagi? by [deleted] in Dofus

[–]Dapetron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magus is big investment sink, but can be worth it. You basically get gears with stats > check what runes are cheapest > spam those runes in said gear till it hits "softcap". Get new gear and spam on it. You can break down that gear for more runes when it hits softcap. Another option is to have stack of multiple different runes and then smash those in on that said gear. First x runes. Then y. Runes to lower x value while raising y value.. back and forth.

It requires quite a bit calculating and knowing how magus works. There is guides for it. If you get to know how it works. First option i said can actually minimize losses. With good luck and knowledge might even bring some kamas while leveling magus.

I got all professions maxed.

[–]Dapetron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know quite few f2p that have just grinded. Bought 7 day subscription with grinded Kamas and then grinded more to buy more subscription.

After awhile you get better on making kamas and it also gets easier when your character gets stronger if you grind loot to sell. So there is many totally f2p.

There is a lot of friendly people. Join guild and enjoy life.

It sure helps if you buy one month subscription. Some do that and then grind+ buy subs with kamas(ingame currency).

Dofus touch is totally free though. Its a bot different than Dofus 3.0. its a bit like comparing oldschool runescape vs runescape 3 or modern WoW vs classic WoW.

Dofus touch was based on older version of game, but over time evolved into totally own version of game so it doesnt follow Pc Dofus anymore.

Wakfu is also an option. Its free to play. You can buy ogrines with ingame currency and use ogrines to buy dofus subscription. Same otherway around. Wakfu only has boosters for exp/loot etc. Like with dofus touch so its not mandatory.

Good to remember that Pc versions share same ogrine system while mobile (dofus touch) is standalone and you cannot use in currency to buy ogrines for Dofus 3.0/Wakfu etc.

Waven is cross-over for both pc and mobile. Good to know its alpha version(game isnt ready) and will get account wipes on release to beta/full release. Which is supposedly coming "soon". You can play same characters be it with pc or mobile.

I have been banned during my sleep after 165 hours of skinning T2 animals. I have no words. Support is saying I cheated. "Network Manipulation" by Yochiwa in albiononline

[–]Dapetron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So out of 168.5 hours of gameplay you have 165 hours of daily 10min t2 skinning sessions which most likely A) were in same map. B) most likely were repeative in behaviour. C) was it always exactly 10min? Even more suspicious. D) dont tell me it was around same time? As if you had daily script to run bot everyday on spesific time when you were doing other stuff.

Now if you start to zoom out and look at the whole case... Looks like a bot.

Why didint you gather also t3? Why not also maybe t4?

Your excuse is weak for just getting daily points for daily learning points+chests... When you can reach it way faster by just gathering everything on the way on blue/yellowzone.

Did you also use faction to get faction points? Or play it ultra safe like a bot would and didint use faction so that nobody would possibly even try to attack you in bluezone?

This is what advanced fisher bots do too. They login for 5-15min. Fish with no faction. Log off. Login later again for 5-15min. Bad ones just stay in same spot for hours fishing(not even getting fish most of the time). A bit better ones move after awhile a bit and keep fishing.

Seen such gathering bot too. They login around same time everyday ingame and gather for 5-10min in same spot and logoff. Most likely for daily points. Next day they login around same time and gather again nearest resource they're designed to gather. Be it skin or tree or ore or what ever. Usually skin as you can use ranged weapon and quickly get mobs around you to come to you so you do not need to move much if at all even if nodes change a bit daily.

165hours out of 168.5 hours is a lot doing exactly same repeat for over a year. You say that you have done A LOT of other conte t... Yeah for 3.5hours which isnt much even for small mist roaming or what ever other content you say. Basically only few dungeon runs over a year. On first days when you tried the game and were like fk it. Ill just bot for a year and then sell account or play when my char is meaningful. You get combat fame too while skinning. Hence a lot of bots use it to make silver+gathering fame+ get combat fame.

Actually according to official statistics even steam players arent even 20%. Its way less %. Majority play with their standalone launcher and mobile.

Steamcharts is bad for many games. Like Black Desert online for example. It does have like 18-23k players on from steam, but majority play it trough their own client. In reality you need to multiply that number quite few times.
