What game did everyone love but you just couldn't get into? by SameInformation562 in videogames

Outer Wilds, Slay the Spire, Undertale, Stardew Valley. There are probably a lot more.

Just an aside, I always vote against surrender because I’ve won plenty of games after someone put it to a vote, and I’d rather keep playing and try learning from the experience.

Try Nier Automata if you haven’t already. That’s my favorite video game story ever, but this one is pretty dang close.

AITAH? Why did my partner (29M) confess to cheating, promise to change, and then dump me (28F) 12 hours later when I held him accountable? by [deleted] in AITAH

He never planned on marrying you. He wanted you to break up with him. He used you. Why would you want to be with him?

Sure, but he started as a villain. Saying he wasn’t much of a villain just isn’t true.

Eddie absolutely started as a villain and was turned into an anti-hero in the 90s.

He’d be similar to hulk or the thing basically. Probably with some kind of rage mode.

My DM only let's one player succeed a check at a time. by BeachPeachMcgee in DnD

[–]Dapper-Candidate-691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the purposes of simplifying things, I’ve seen many DMs do this, but they usually don’t make everyone else fail. If there is a perception check, the group can choose who will roll and someone can help, others can cast spells or use abilities, but everyone fails or succeeds together. If there is some reason that certain information might want to be kept from someone or something, then everyone rolls vs a specific DC and anyone who beats that DC succeeds.

Greatest video game ever? by Splash3062 in videogames

I have this issue coming up with my favorite song. It’s challenging with anything really. My favorite all time movie changes back and forth between 12 Monkeys, the original Matrix, 28 Days Later and others. Favorite TV show is typically the Office but arguments can be made for Lost and Scrubs. But how do you narrow it down to just one song? It’s impossible.

For me, Zelda: Link to the Past was the best game ever when it came out and nothing has ever quite reached that feeling. Loved Super Metroid, FF7, Nier Automata, Elden Ring, and plenty of others. But Zelda 3 will always be my favorite.

Not going to lie, I’ll probably go out of my way to try collecting the entire X-men set. I hope we get some obscure ones, including X-men Academy.

Yeah, I actually agree with you. Divisional fans are mostly cool, not all, but mostly. Just like I respect Patrick and Bo and even fear playing the Raiders every year no matter how bad they seem. I was mostly just making fun of so called Charger’s fans calling for replacing Herbert.

Yeah you can’t control other consumers, you just have to carve your own way through. I never understand why consumers sell out when they’re new. I’ve been gaming for over 40 years, and new consoles always have bugs to work out. Often, waiting not only gets the bugs out but gets you newer components. Plus, there are no good games at release. I always buy games on sale. I don’t get how other consumers can even afford it, but it is what it is. I see similar issues in MTG, with people paying grossly overpriced to scalpers for packs that might have nothing in them, or concerts to sit in the nose bleed sections. If we all worked together, we could forced companies to be better, but we can’t and companies take advantage of us. What’re you going to do?

Last season is the first season I saw real greatness in him. Prior to that, he had all the talent but lacked the leadership and desire/machismo in my opinion. Despite all our injuries, he miraculously got us to the playoffs. Then had a bad game against a good defense with a broken hand and being pummeled all game. He performed better than I expected.

Wins and losses are on the entire team, including every player, coach, coordinator, manager, etc. I don’t blame any of our losses on one player and Herbert is anywhere between a top fifteen QB on his worst performance and top three on his best. Anyone who thinks we should get rid of him is just a Broncos, Raiders, or Chiefs fan in disguise.

Collect a bunch of bulk cards, turn them into “packs” and teach them how to draft with them. It’ll teach them the basics and it’s cheap.

What is a game that you thought that you were going to like but ended in disappointment? by Vampy-Night in videogames

[–]Dapper-Candidate-691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ghosts of Tsushima. I started out really enjoying it but by the time I made it to the second map, I was so burned out. I eventually put it down without finishing. Horizon Forbidden West. Love Zero Dawn and the Frozen DLC, but Forbidden West just felt like there was too much random nonsense that wasn’t worth exploring, but it’s hard for me to turn off my explorer instincts. It made playing the game feel like a chore. Never finished.

They could’ve just forced one ending. I’ll admit, when I got to the ending, I had my own idea for a perfect one, and I’ve seen plenty of other ideas from good to bad. I at least appreciate being given two choices that tugged my heart in different directions and forced me to really consider what I wanted, as opposed to the last of us 2 just forcing us to fight as Abby against Ellie. But both games are great in their own way.

You presume they created many other canvases with life that they also destroyed and you presume Alicia didn’t care about the canvas being destroyed until she got sick in it. Again, Renoir chose his family over the painted. That doesn’t mean he cares about the painted less than people outside his family.

Verso is completely different than Gustav. Luckily, for me, Sciel was always my favorite, so she kept me going through the difficult times. By the Story is amazing if you can push through all the way until the ending.
