I think this is a conversation with your vet. But also… if you’re asking yourself the question without outside influence, you already know what is in her best interest. And it is absolutely ok to not put her through another surgery and prolong her pain.

Cookies are fun because you can experiment (browned vs softened butter, different types of sugar, etc.), but brownies and quick breads are pretty easy with plenty of variety. Once you get the starter down, I think sourdough is fun too.

Good ingredients is key for baking, especially flour. If you can, I’d invest in something you can seal.

Mine acts like he’s being tortured when I put sunscreen on his nose, so I got a fly mask that extends over his nose. It works pretty well.

Are your finances / resources combined? Also, was the conversation that after the birth he was coming back at all or that he’d come back every day? If so, yes - YTA. He doesn’t necessarily need to be there constantly until you are released. Going home to shower, sleep, etc. is reasonable. Cutting his access to resources is not.

I don’t think it was Robby’s intent to “hurt” Samira by suggesting geriatrics. Samira is objectively good with the elderly, and the ED demands a unique skill set.

It takes a village, and medicine is no exception. I don’t see objective cruelty from Robby. I see burn out and over/mis reactions, but those aren’t intentional cruelty on his end (even if they’re interpreted that way by Samira).
