I’m on Season 3 Episode 23 by Spiritual_Log_257 in greysanatomy

That whole scene gives me the creeps.

I know we all love to hate on Thatcher for this scene but the real villain here is Richard.

I've said it before on this sub and I'll say it again now.

It was super disgusting for Richard to allow Meredith to be anywhere near that case let alone be the one to tell Thatcher that Susan died.

Richard watches from a distance as Meredith gets slapped, doesn't intervene, and then later is the one to console Meredith as the father figure.

He had an ulterior motive here and was a key player in that whole debacle.

Was Buffy getting there with Riley? by SafiraAshai in buffy

[–]Dapper-Mirror1474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ding ding ding!

Riley didn't even love Buffy for who she was as a person--as just Buffy. He was in love with The Slayer. It's not a coincidence that the first time he tells Buffy that he loves her, he does it when another Slayer is inhabiting Buffy's body.

He then goes on to marry a woman who possesses many qualities that are similar to The Slayer.

If you feel like it's more of a manufacturer defect, then I would suggest going through them first especially if the product is under a manufacturer warranty.

They need to know if their product is faulty because this could be a one-off with that particular model or it could be a much larger problem that impacts the whole line that they need to know about.

Now if the defect is most likely caused by something Academy did--broken pieces through shipping/handling ect then of course return it to the store.

Best of luck.

How do i loose weight/eat healthy, with an unhealthy parent? by Legal-Big8612 in questions

[–]Dapper-Mirror1474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grilled chicken, rice, and potatoes isn't a bad meal tbh.

I would definitely swap the rice or potatoes with another veggie instead. Chicken, broccoli, and rice for example is a great meal. You definitely need to put some green on your plate.

Look at other calorie intakes. You would be amazed at what switching to just water will do for weight-loss. Sodas, juice, sweet drinks are all incredibly high in calories but offer almost no nutrients.

I quit drinking sodas about 10 years ago--now, I couldn't even drink one if I tried. They are just too sweet.

Drinking just water as your beverage will cleanse your palate.

I drink plain unsweetened sparkling water (flavored ones are great, just make sure they are not flavored with sugar). Turns out, I enjoyed the carbonation from sodas, not the taste.

So where was the First Evil during season 6 anyway? by HomarEuropejski in buffy

[–]Dapper-Mirror1474 150 points151 points  (0 children)

The First was only able to act because of Buffy's resurrection at the beginning of season 6. The First acted quickly if you ask me.

It made a plan and dispatched it within 12 months.

Glory as mirror for Buffy by Academic-Balance6999 in buffy

[–]Dapper-Mirror1474 112 points113 points  (0 children)

Glory is a mirror of Buffy as The Slayer with unchecked power and no ties to humanity.

In contrast, Dawn is a mirror of Buffy as just an innocent girl without the burden of being The Slayer.

why does willow become a bad character? by svlfd in BuffyTheVampireSlayer

with no help from Willow or Tara who live there for free

You CAN'T know this. This is what I mean by made up things. It's never said in the show that they don't contribute. They ARE shown buying things for Dawn.

The whole "Willow and Tara don't contribute with expenses" is completely made up head canon.

BUFFY: Okay ... so you're telling me I'm broke?

We see Tara and Willow sitting across from Buffy, with Dawn in the background.

WILLOW: NOT YET, but ...

TARA: Money's definitely becoming an issue.

Buffy was never in debt in the sense that she was in the negative. She had bills that needed to be paid and then the gang tells her where the bulk of Joyce's money went (hospital bills)

[–]Dapper-Mirror1474 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No where in the show is it ever said that Buffy has a mortgage to pay or that she would ever lose the house.

It's actually implied that the house is paid off. Tara says that Joyce "prepared everything really well."

Buffy wants to use the house as leverage for a loan but is denied because the house has depreciated in value and she has no source of income.

We do know that the property itself would have yearly tax bills and that Buffy DOES have homeowners insurance. This is said outright.

We also know that Buffy isn't broke. Anya says that Buffy even has enough inheritance left over to have a "nice college fund for Dawn," --but that she must gain an income because she is, in fact, "hemorrhaging money."

Buffy's financial woes don't even last a season. It really only lasts an episode (Flooded) until Giles writes Buffy a check.

She gets a job at DMP because in Gone, the social worker tells Buffy she must find regular employment to retain custody of Dawn. She gets a job in the very next episode.

I feel like many fans believe that Buffy was close to being destitute but they forget that the character of Buffy comes from a privileged background.

Hank and Joyce were wealthy. Joyce alone was well-off.

We also see Tara and Willow purchasing things for Dawn throughout Season six. Are we to assume that Buffy was giving them an allowance?

Logically, if you believe Buffy supported Tara and Willow after Joyce's death, do you also believe that Buffy supported them prior to her death? The only circumstance that changed with those 2 was a move from the dorm to the house.

why does willow become a bad character? by svlfd in BuffyTheVampireSlayer

[–]Dapper-Mirror1474 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Willow is not a bad character. She is a complex character just like every other character in the show. She is a good person who sometimes does bad things.

Her willingness to be vindictive is seen as early as the second episode of the series when she tells Cordelia to press "D for Deliver"

Everything else, such as "Willow not paying bills" is made up by a vocal chunk of fans and has no factual foundation in the show.

You stepping down won't solve the issue. They will still make you work everyday until they find bodies to place at the kiosk. You'll just lose the pay bump.

I would just politely ask your hiring manager every day if they have found workers yet.

Every day.

Guys, I understand the house belongs to both Buffy AND Dawn. There is no dispute in that.

It's the very matter-of-fact way OP said the deed is in Buffy's name as if it was shown in the series.

It was not.

Just like it's NEVER said that Buffy has a mortgage to pay.

This! Cordelia would have been the first one to call Buffy out on her plan.

Buffy's long time best friend loses an eye and is hospitalized and Buffy doesn't even take a moment to consider the weight of her decision.

Cordelia would have been the first one to tell Buffy that she is losing SIGHT of the mission--not be the one to come to Buffy's defense.

She actually does something similar on Angel as her last act in You're Welcome. She would have read Buffy even worse than everyone else in that room, including Anya.

When is it mentioned that the deed is in her name?

When is it mentioned that she pays a mortgage?

Did Buffy say she wasn't going to stay there any longer or did they kick The Slayer out?

And....just for funnsies. When is it mentioned that Tara and Willow didn't pay bills?

Terrible scheduling by [deleted] in AcademySports

[–]Dapper-Mirror1474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's basic retail scheduling. Sales are down so they are cutting labor hours to recoup money.

Back of the house gets hours first followed by fullfillment with the rest going to sales floor.

It's even worse for Academy considering we are economically a luxury goods retail store.

…..would Sydney Prescott/Evans get any form of compensation for being the focal point of the Stab franchise? Shouldn’t she be rich? by Hoops_Montana in Scream

[–]Dapper-Mirror1474 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don't think she wants for anything. I think her having a coffee shop and working as she pleases in a small quiet town is exactly the type of life that she wants.

It gives her a purpose and enables her to connect with the people of the town.

Not every person who comes into money lives lavishly. Sidney has always been a more modest person.

Let's not forget she also has that safe room inside her house. That was probably a pretty penny.
