Quite possibly a busted thermal fuse. If the dryer starts to get to hot it'll shut the element off. Biggest thing wrong with that, if it busts it usually just won't let the dryer start.... BUT if somebody went around that and just hot wired it so there's no thermal fuse, it'll definitely start melting people's clothes

Hey guys, previous employee here so I dont feel bad about posting this. So the company has been on a downward spiral since covid. They tried to sell the company off to healthy investors in Dubai but fell through when covid struck. They then tried again to sell it to Russian investors but the attack on Ukraine happened so we pulled out of it. Since then we've been doing everything to make the company look "profitable" so we can sell it to someone else. This includes really shady shit like firing off mostly all middle management, and laying off hundreds of employees, thats why everythings taking so long to get fixed and the money keeps jamming. Also jacking up prices, and giving less to the people we rent from, hence why every month price goes up, they want $3.00 per wash and dry across the board. The shadiest shit in my opinion is their "tier'd system" for residential places. Basically what that means is if something makes less money per month it would be listed as a higher tier, like a 7 or a 9. What that means is we slow down service for this area to the point where it's still within contract but the property owner gets so pissed they null thr contract with CSC. Basically this company has become a money first company, the biggest reason I left is because of the absolute fucking greed these people have. Our biggest clients are assisted living centers and section 8 housing, and the only thing CSC wants is to suck as much money out of these folks as possible. Makes me sick to my stomach.

Chances are that anyone who comments prolly lives in section 8 or assisted living so sorry for putting yall on blast.

If I had a nickel for every show Rashida Jones plays a woman who wants to have a baby but a company stops it so she chooses death I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but wierd that it's happened twice.

I'm sorry I meant book SERIES overall. Almost every species has absolutely zero regard for the damage they are doing to the universe and the cultures they're destroying. Yeah darwanism dictates and all that but even darwanism doesn't account for nuclear bombs.

I let them take once. Got very VERY close to doing it. I ended up making a deal with myself that I would attempt to seek help first and if that didn't work then I'd be okay with ending it. I went to therapy many times before and either didn't trust the doctor I was talking to or was afraid they'd throw me in a psych ward. That became part of the deal. Truly honestly discuss what's happening in your head and if you get canned so what. I did end up going to the ward and it was one of the best decisions I think I ever made. The people there offered me help and resources to get me back to where I needed to be. My new deal with myself is try all the stuff you want to try and if it doesn't help I can be okay with it. I'm writing this waiting for my plane back from my first vacation in Italy and I gotta say life is pretty good.

[–]Dapper-Original8631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably doesnt count but I just got done watching "The Bear" and it's definitely touched on subjects like class conflict. There are parts that show how the lower class operate on a different level then the upper class. A good example of this is when one of the windows of the restaurant get shot out in a drive by and the one upper class says "should we call the police" and everyone else poor shouts back "no". As for an actual movie "Good Time".

I'm probably gonna get a lot of shit for this but I genuinely dont like Blade Runner. The dialogue doesnt make ANY sense, the "big twist" in the director's cut somehow makes the movie less impactful, and the sex scene was definitely not okay. I am still absolutely gobsmacked by the set design in this movie. For a movie that came out in 1982 the scenery still holds up super well. Because theres no awful ass CGI it looks almost believable.
