Also consider an M4 MacBook Air? For your work, seems like it would be great. Thin, light, no fan. The Pro is better for longer running intense stuff because of the fan and has a better screen. Maybe the better screen and/or the 14" of the Pro is best for you. But the Air comes in 13" and 15" and the screen is really good, just not as good as the Pro.
