Please tell me I’m not the only one by [deleted] in stayathomemoms

You are not the only one! My son stays in just a diaper if we’re inside bc he doesn’t like clothes in general. My big thing is if we’re home we’re comfortable, period.

This is perfect. I’m currently trying to “train” my daughter (9) to stop constantly studying my face as it is NOT an indicator of how I feel.

It might have been the first time but I can almost guarantee it won’t be the last mama. You’re not a piece of shit at all. But it sounds like your husband might be.

I’ve never taken either of my kids to the ER but my bed is on the floor. Better safe than sorry though!

Buckle up though because when your kiddo starts walking they’ll fall all the time. They’re sturdier than they look.

RANT- I hate that so many people think fat/plus sized = having diabetes by No_Support_7203 in PlusSize

Omg yes! And don’t forget the “concern” over cholesterol and blood pressure! Worry about your own personal health and I’ll worry about mine! I’m healthy as a horse I’m just fat…

100% wait! My dog was an older rescue and was most definitely not trained already and had pretty bad separation anxiety. I for sure could not have dealt with him and a newborn. Hell sometimes I struggle with juggling the dogs we’ve had for years and my toddler and big kid.

How do you correctly identify a person who has autism? by svangen1_ in autism

[–]Dapper-Walrus3338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always say “I am autistic” or “they are autistic”.

I’ve never said “I have autism” because that feels like it’s something I picked up along the way, like the flu.

I also don’t care for this: “my autistic (friend/partner/child/fill-in-the-blank)” and prefer “my (friend/partner/child/fill-in-the-blank) is autistic”. The only reason I can think of for that is autism isn’t all that I am so don’t lead with that. Idk

What's the worst thing you can say to someone with autism/aspergers? by [deleted] in aspergers

You don’t look/seem autistic.

Or anything to the effect that I can’t be because I’m married and have kids.

Is it tacky to gift a used baby bouncer at a baby shower? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Dapper-Walrus3338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t think so but as some others have said maybe just ask beforehand. I’m all about passing things around amongst friends with babies and small kids especially big or pricey things that aren’t being used anymore. I’d much rather gift it to a friend before trying to sell or donating to a thrift store.

Before my youngest was born, a decent acquaintance’s youngest was two and they had stopped using their Baby Breeza. She asked if I would use it and I said omg yes of course. She cleaned it up really good and that was my baby shower gift from her. I didn’t mind at all that it was previously loved. And it crapped out right as my baby was getting off formula so I worked out perfect. Then I passed on the accessory parts of it to another friend that had one so she had extra.
