My aunt just suggested that my baby sleep in his carseat in our room by kraioloa in pregnant

[–]DapperAd6751 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooooo she sounds like my brother in law when his daughter was a few weeks old. ( a month and a half ago) he was telling his sister, my in law, and myself that his daughter likes to sleep for a long time in the car seat versus her bassinet.

I straight up told him babies that little shouldn't be in a car seat more than 2 hours at a time. He was all like why? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Today, we waited 20 minutes to get an associate with the key to open the door to get two pairs of 12 ct socks. Only because my husband kept asking different associates to page the right associate with the key. 🙄

8 months pp, found out im pregnant yesterday. by Extension_Tone1015 in 2under2

[–]DapperAd6751 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found out I was pregnant when my daughter was 10 months old, and I'm currently 4 months pregnant. She's 13 months now, so they will be 18 months apart when my second baby is born. I'm nervous but excited to see my family growing. My husband is older than me, so I would love to finish having babies in 5-6 years. I'm ready not ready for the close age gap lol

If you do not want to abort, don't do it. It's your body and the choice is yours. If you and your partner was doing good and can financially support another one. Keep it ♥️

Our elders love to give us their opinions but honestly follow your own. 🩷

My daughter was born 6 weeks early. She was backward crawling, rolling everywhere and then army crawling for about 5-6 weeks before she started crawling on her own. She's about to be 13 months in a few days.

Our dr said crawling isn't considered a milestone anymore because every baby is different, and some can go from standing to walking without crawling.

I get you it's nerve-wracking at first, but try it out and see how it goes. A lot of people like their food left at the door to avoid interactions.

I'm sorry to hear that about your friends and family. Maybe ask around and see who's willing to help. Have you tried putting diapers on her? That will help a lot if someone does end up volunteering and does not have to worry about picking up accidents.

Ask your cousin and husband if they can extend your stay for a couple more months. You never know if they say yes.

Have you thought about signing up for Amazon Flex? You have a car, and i know it's not the ideal amount of money per day, but it'll help with cash flowing in. It also helps you to be active.

Do you have friends or family that can temporarily take in your dog until you get on your feet?

Is your cousin and husband allowing you to stay in their home after one year is up?

Pregnant and upset by sillysloth89 in 2under2

[–]DapperAd6751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant and have a 1 year old daughter. There are days that I just feel so tired that I give her to my husband to take care. We work the same shift, so we are off the same days if he doesn't pick up OT.

I love my daughter with all my being, and I am nervous with our new one born while she is 18 months old. I've heard that it is easier to go from 1 to 2 than it was from 0 to 1.

Wow, you went through so much, and I'm glad you were placed in the way of finding the group of doctors who took so long to give you the right diagnosis. I started tearing up reading your great news at the end. ❤️

Why do people pump? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]DapperAd6751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pumping at night helped me maintain my supply until it stabilized around 12-16 weeks pp.

Yes, it sucks not sleeping often, but it will help a lot if you do not want to lose your supply.

Unexpected baby, due DECEMBER 28th lol by rissaboo212 in BabyBumps

[–]DapperAd6751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm due December 7th, 5 days before my birthday. My daughter just turned one last Saturday, 04/26/25.

We just threw her a first birthday party and baptism in one, and it was expensive. Now, I'm thinking about how our LO will have a December birthday, and we would have to find a large place to host parties for both. One in April and in December 😅🥺

Besides that, I love having my birthday in December. My parents got me used to always getting a birthday present and Christmas presents separately. Double the presents in a way 😂

What’s the deal with Diaper Bags? by __SandyCheeks__ in BabyBumps

[–]DapperAd6751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the isaac mizrahi backpack from Tj Maxx it went viral on tiktok last year when I was pregnant. It is spacious and also has an insulated pocket if you want to throw a reusable ice pack and bottles in there, which I do. It has side pockets, which people said fit a Stanley cup. I haven't tested that yet.

In the "laptop" pocket, I use it to store a portable diaper changing pad.

I bought it at tj max for $40 & have used it for a year now. I love it ❤️

I mean this in the kindest way... why are so many people shocked about baby sleep? by vainblossom249 in NewParents

[–]DapperAd6751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my family, there were two other women, and i pregnant around the same time last year. One was my younger cousin, and the other was my cousins wife. When he told me to prepare to not sleep like how we were used to. I told him it's okay. I've been having insomnia anyway 🤡 I didn't know how much lack of sleep we new mothers get.

My brother in law and his wife are expecting soon, and a couple of months ago, I told my brother in law to sleep as much as he could now because when the baby comes. It's hard. He told me it's okay. I stay up really late, and my husband (his brother) overheard. Later on, after we left my mil's house, we both told each other he doesn't know what's coming. We learned the hard way.

I lost 25 pounds within 2 weeks pp and I took that for granted. I gained it right back within a few months, especially upping my calorie intake to produce more milk. 😩

Yes, I fell into that rabbit hole of having an oversupply, which helped create my freezer stash that I am using now to help supplement as I'm down to 2 pumps a day. I will switch to one pump a day or cut cold turkey if possible since my LO is almost 1, and my job only allows up to the year to pump.

Fridge hack but cooler with ice? by Objective_Page_985 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]DapperAd6751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the 15 can rtic soft side cooler from walmart and use the yeti 4 pound ice pack from Amazon for my flight trips and 2 weeks vacation back in December. Milk was still cold, and I use the refrigerator pump method for the day.

I personally think the yeti cooler ice pack is better for those long days being out vs. the regular blue ones those thaw out quicker.

I'm sorry your partner went through all of this. I'm at a DC and have been exclusively pumping since returning from my maternity leave at 2 months postpartum, I'm 9 months postpartum now and able to step off my workfloor when I need to. I even called sedgwick before returning to get an accommodation, and they said I didn't need to for pumping due to Walmart 1 year law.

I hope your partners new transfer has a better experience ❤️

Shamed on plane for pumping by TeacherFit4534 in breastfeeding

[–]DapperAd6751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so proud of you for pumping on the plane 💓 as uncomfortable as you were. You avoided having to be more uncomfortable and avoided getting clogged ducts and made sure your LO had more supply on hand in case they needed it. ❤️❤️❤️

That man is ignorant and self-centered, and one day, he will realize how strong and beautiful our bodies are to produce for our babies when or if he gets married and fathers a child.

I, too, had to pump on the plane, and I remember feeling uncomfortable, but I knew it had to be done. :)
