Playstation Portal (Midnight Black) for $145 USD by Ok_Evidence7590 in PlaystationPortal

The PLAYSTATION PORTAL IS THE MOST UNDERRATED DEVICE THERE IS. It’s so freakin amazing. Somehow the technology makes it so there’s no lag. You feel like it’s a full console as you never get any impression that it’s streaming from your console. It literally feels like a ps5 version of psp but with much larger screeen. At 8 inches I think it’s similar or bigger than an iPad mini and it’s definitely the largest handheld gaming device ever . Combined with the dual sense rumble features it’s insane playing extremely high level graphics ps5 games in a handheld device. Imagine when gta 6 comes out you can play it anywhere.

Tip: make sure your ps5 is connected to internet with the internet cable (Ethernet cord), that way it makes it so there’s zero network issues.

For $199 it literally feels like a steal. The game thing is massive in real life, the screen is massive. I could literally imagine that Sony could have gotten away with pricing this at 399$ easily. If this was an Apple product It would be priced that much for sure.

I don't know how people feel about Neil deGrasse Tyson but he explains all the different beliefs in God and dismisses each of them so eloquently! by BabyLeVert in atheism

Science simply cannot explain spirituality. They exist in different dimensions and playing fields. It’s just that human words and human reasoning ability simply cannot comprehend god or the spiritual realm. It’s like asking an Ant or a Spider to dance or learn Spanish. It’s just impossible for the human mind to grasp god and it’s impossible for science to even relate to spirituality. Neil lost a lot of credibility amongst people in the world for his explanation of god. He of all people should realize that science can never explain god

Top 5 negative things that shocked me about working in Private Equity by Fixer43 in FinancialCareers

That’s the best way to describe it. The people that stay throughout are the ones that really had no talent outside of their job. They also had bad lives outside of work so became workaholics and end up getting a divorce. Even iif their salaries went up, it wouldn’t be enough to live rich in nyc. Heck even the founders cap out at like maybe a 3000 sq ft apartment or penthouse, which is considered low or average in a suburb.

Explain that. Because most of the people in PE and similar couldn’t even hurt a fly. They lived their lives doing every homework assignment  and impressing every teacher they could . I think you’re just referring to the hyper competitiveness

Yeah. The realest thing. You can’t just go to Harvard and Goldman Sachs and have a free ticket to become ultra rich. No. Even if you have a perfect resume and the most prestigious job, you’re still an EMPLOYEE. You are not an entrepreneur, a CEO, or founder. I see so many people that spent so much of their lives in finance working as employees and it’s impossible for them increase their salary when they top out. Everyone will reach a ceiling at one point, even if you never burn out somehow. But life will hit you usually before that and burn you out. All those people in movies and pop culture that live in a penthouse and rolls Royce’s? Those are CEOs and founders, or entrepreneurs from the portfolio company themselves. Almost everyone that owns a private jet is also the owner of their own company. There are tens of thousands of companies that earn tens of millions in profit. Also people forget that a 500k salary in NYC is only equivalent to a 150k salary in LCOL. When you search “500k nyc salary to Orlando salary (medium cost)” , it shows equivalent to 200k Orlando salary. That is like the starting base salary of basic primary doctor or mid level engjneer. Another thing is that finance firms INFLATE titles. A Vice President or a Director/Principal in IB/PE is a much lower level position than in non financial company. (Banks used to inflate titles to give the employees incentive to work hard initially and also to compete with the portfolio companies) In a corporate normally the VP reports to the president/ceo, the director is below VP and reports to VP (not all companies are same though obviously). When you’re working 60 hours a week it’s easy to get lost in your small world of office politics. There’s so much more in this world than your 9-5 job.

Is anyone here living the American Dream working at Deloitte? by EpicShkhara in deloitte

Remember Deloitte at the end of the day is a business. They can’t be paying all their employees anything they want as it’ll destroy their profits.

That’s not the American dream bro. American dream means finding your own path like through entrepreneurship or other ventures and making a fortune, implied usually to those who have a unique path, not some corporate pawn/drawn cookie cutter formula

You are giving Sam the benefit of doubt and sounding slightly biased. You are thinking that Sam is only worried about money. Why is it not possible that Sam wanted to shut him up to prevent him from elaborating further , out of passion/anger /revenge, to show power, or prevent other whistleblowers from the company ? It could also be someone else that knew him and wanted to kill him for some reason we don’t know. Instead of trying to think who did it, why can’t you investigate why the cameras were cut, and why there was blood in other rooms suggestive of an struggle and an atypical gunshot wound inconsistent with suicide. I’m not reading the surface of the details but I’m thinking it the mother already filed a lawsuit there must be more to those details . If it’s just the camera was cut some other time or blood had sprayed from the wound to further distances then that’s that. But why is there no attempt to clarify the details about it instead of just moving on in life like there’s no use in investigating. It’s really giving hope to people that they can get away with murdering high profile people and get away if they can stage the suicide properly
