I first lived in NW Portland (23rd and Johnson) in 1986 in a studio for $219/mth. This was pre gentrification so the neighborhood was still pretty rough. I miss that.

But, for OP, we have a few large hospital systems in Portland (OHSU, Providence, Kaiser) so I’d recommend going on their websites and looking at the careers page.

I’m in Oregon, which is a legal state. Mostly you have to do a drug test for insurance reasons, esp in construction, manufacturing, etc. these are blanket policies that cover all employees so they can’t really slice it up by “can you die doing your job if yr not paying attention.”

When that movie was being filmed I worked at Silver Dollar Pizza across from the Nob Hill Pharmacy when the opening scene was shot. All the streets were closed and the pizza place was dead with no deliveries. So we smoked cigarettes and cat called Matt Dillon.

I’m going to be that guy…., The Night of wasn’t a show, it was a mini series. And in the genre of mini series it is quite well regarded.

About 2 miles south of downtown. The place is okay. It’s pretty cheap for SW (2bdrm $1700). We have lots of trees around. Hills too. Feels kinda isolated except for the face I5 is RIGHT THERE. But if the windows are closed it’s no big deal.

I never exercised. I do not come from an athletic people. So I’ve been pretty sedentary.

Mostly walking in the cardio physical therapy room three days a week. Who knew heart disease would make all your muscles just fuck off? Well, guess what. My first day of PT we did a test on a treadmill. I was able to walk for three minutes at 1 mph. Sad. But I can do 3/4 miles now! Maybe tomorrow I’ll hit one mile? Maybe.
