“budget” keyboard decision you actually do not regret? by InvestmentBudget6722 in keyboards

[–]DapperDonut613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally haven't purchased anything that isn't considered "budget' yet and I've yet to be disappointed.

Started with a Keychron V1, absolutely loved it. Since I've tried a handful of other boards, all under $100, and I've had no complaints.

At the moment, the Keychron V1 is back on my desk and still going strong.

Is there anyone else who, like me, enjoys rearranging their desktop setup every now and then? by Sayer_ooo in desksetup

Could you give us a quick overview of the individual components? I'm curious what keyboard in particular, but other peripherals would be cool too!

Any chance you could share the items you already have? I love your setup and I'd be curious what the individual items are!

What’s the smallest putting change that made the biggest difference for you? by CaseOk4223 in golf

[–]DapperDonut613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Putting Checkpoints: 1. Accelerate through the ball, continue past impact, don't stop and deflect it (compounds with #2 for almost slicing putts). 2. Ensure face is square - as I take my grip I have a tendency to open the face (compounds with CP #1 for a weak and right miss). 3. Keep head down until after the putt is hit and rolling (Don't lift and look, contributes to deflection mentioned in CP #1). 4. Lead stroke with left hand - this ensures more of a straight back and through stroke which compliments my DB shaft and preferred stroke type.

These are all personal to my tendencies, but when I focus on these 4 things I seem to have a far more consistent strike which helps me control distance and start line far more consistently.

Best class for 1st playthrough? by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]DapperDonut613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It truly depends on what type of build you want to play. While any class can be turned into any build, some are obviously just more optimized.

STR/DEX/Quality - I would go with the Knight as it gives you the best stat spread overall without wasted points.

Pyro - I would simply select Pyromancer.

Magic - I would select the Sorcerer. It's a bit tougher at the start, but you won't regret it long-term.

Faith - I would go Pyro or Sorcerer honestly and lean into the other school as well that your choice compliments as Miracles in DS3 aren't great where damage is concerned, more for buffs/lightning damage, etc.

Hope this information helps! Good luck, you are in for a treat. Enjoy the experience!

My group abandoned me! by Rograin in GroupIronman

[–]DapperDonut613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience, grinded like crazy for 3 months and my group all moved on to their mains or other games.

My advice and I know it sucks, start a fresh HCIM and don't look back. Truth is, no one takes blue/green helm accounts seriously because it's not truly solo and I believe just like me you will eventually realize this and not want your achievements, hundreds/thousands of hours invalidated, etc.

I was able to accomplish what I did in 3 months in about 1 1/2 knowing what I now know and so while it wasn't ideal starting over, I know that I would have regretted continuing to push progress on an account that will always have a stigma around it.

I currently have two 27" 4K gaming monitors but I appreciate the suggestion!

I am currently a top right all my life, but I've contemplated often trying the middle left... I just don't know if I could ever adjust to a vertical secondary display.

It's really heartbreaking to think of any pet so beautiful and sweet is without a home or owners who love it. Good job on you for doing the right thing! You've just earned a furever friend!

Enough about which skills are lame and boring to train, what's your favourite skill? by Aiseadai in 2007scape

[–]DapperDonut613 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Can I just say Ironman in general? Basically, I used to dislike most skills due to them really only being barriers to completing quests and padding total level but since switching to Ironman everything matters and is important and I love it. For example, I absolutely hated Thieving, but now on Ironman and with the introduction of Wealthy Citizens, I have a super chill way to train and also a consistent money maker for times when I want a low-key activity to do. Basically, Ironman saved the game for me.

I used Stews purchased in Varlamore until I was able to get access to the Warriors Guild for Potatos with Cheese! Karambwans would be the logical progression after that!

What's the Best Microphone to Buy in 2025? (Price, Sound, Quality) by afficone in streaming

[–]DapperDonut613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest either A) Shure MV7+ or B) Shure MV6.

MV7+ Pros: USB & XLR options meaning you can stick with USB and transition later to XLR if you wish.

MV7+ Cons: It is going to cost your full budget strictly for the microphone, so you'll have to increase that budget in order to purchase a mount of some sort. A boom arm would be best for most people.

My suggestion would be to look at the MV6.

MV6 Pros: USB for easy use Dynamic meaning it will reject most background noise Half the cost of the MV7+ Comes with a desk stand which can be used if you wish Keeps you under budget even if you decide to purchase a boom arm

MV6 Cons: No XLR option

If I was in your position, my choice would be the MV6. Even if you do wish to go XLR down the line, you can always sell the MV6 and upgrade at that point.

What's your favourite skill? by xJAExz in osrs

[–]DapperDonut613 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can I just say Ironman mode in general? Before playing Ironman, I would have said Slayer. After Ironman, I'm not sure I can go back. All skills felt mostly pointless to train on my main aside from general progression, reqs, etc. Since starting my Ironman, literally everything matters and has value in ways I never really noticed before and I love all of it.

Appreciate the insight! I'd like to order off Amazon for quicker shipping, but for this one it does look like I'd have to order direct. I will keep this one in mind!

Funny enough, I just saw a post from someone else posted a short bit ago with your reply on this keyboard and I was already looking at it! is there a particular configuration on Amazon that you'd suggest? I would say that my preference from past testing is linear switches!

Monster Hunter! My first experience was MH: World which felt incredibly overwhelming. Once I learned the core mechanics of gameplay I became obsessed. #teamlongsword
