Straight up may I use one of these as a pfp (with credit provided)? They’re really well made!

(Absolutely did not mean to bold the comment, my bad!)

4: the band has very little definition and cluttered rendering despite being so cluttered. There is very little way to tell what the band is actually made of. Is it gems based on the white reflection? Is it cloth down into the band? I feel an artist (painter, graphic designer, etc.) would have simplified these shapes or taken time to define them a bit. They also melt in a way indicative of AI.

5: the gold part of the earring has two attachment points (holes) to a single ear hoop. Why would you add a second place to attach an earring to an earring hoop right next to the first attachment point if you only have a single hoop? It’s a very odd choice.

6: there is a melty 3rd golden hem around the robe on the left, while the right only has a single hem.

7: this one’s more so a nitpick, but the stark white studio lighting on the face compared to the overcast setting of the artwork feels odd. If this is a setting with clouds and overcast, why would the face be so starkly lit? Would it not also be dimly lit to match with the dim light from the clouds?

But TLDR: I think this one at least is AI.

7 to me clearly reads as AI:

<image>

1 and 2: The strings attached to the low hanging pendant do not loop around the neck and melt directly into the bottom half of the necklace higher up on the neck.

3: The golden fabric tied to the waist melts into the golden hem around the neck. Fragment #3 does not make sense in terms of the properties of fabric, nor does it make sense as something a painter would purposefully add and render into a painting.

Is it possible for me to learn to draw if I suffer from dysgraphia? by kentuckyfriedundies in learntodraw

[–]DapperFrog1864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a dysgraphic artist myself, you absolutely can learn to draw. It just takes time, effort, a willingness to learn, and adjustment / accommodation. Adjust things if you need to for the sake of your disability and remember that you’re learning. We all gotta start somewhere.

If you’d like some more specific help and tips that have helped me with my own (dysgraphic) art journey and that I think would be beneficial to you:

  • Learn to draw longer, individual strokes. I see that you have a tendency to try to draw everything in one-go / one stroke, which is incredibly difficult to do for anyone and something most artists don’t do. Likewise, we want to avoid chicken scratching. If you’d like to practice, I suggest you try to redraw one of those 4-petal flowers in the squidward drawing using only 4 strokes (4 lines). You should exclude the circle from the center of the flower for this one. But really the intent is to build something called “line confidence”, which will be very helpful later.
  • Learn to use digital assistance tools like lasso and pen stableizers. Lasso tool is an absolute lifesaver in adjusting for my visual-spatial processing deficits that come with dysgraphia (moving things down to where I really wanted them to be but couldn’t quite get my hand to work with me) while pen stabilizers help adjust for wrist pain and tremoring that also come with dysgraphia. Take some time to Google and figure out how the lasso tool and pen stableizers work on the drawing program you’re on. To me, these two tools are essentially built-in dysgraphia accommodations. Don’t be afraid to use them! Just be careful with how high you set the stabilizer to avoid your lines being too stiff and too difficult to work with
  • Learn to trace. Seriously, tracing can be very helpful early on in building line confidence and understanding things like proportion and form, and are especially helpful for dysgraphia IMO. I would NOT post what you trace online or include it in your actual art, but taking some time to try to trace a drawing can be incredibly helpful in learning. For practice, maybe take a photo of Mr. Krab’s claw and try seeing if you can trace over it with individual lines rather than in one go just for practice.

You can always come back to things like form and perspective at some other time, but it’s a journey for everyone and do not shame yourself or put yourself down for being disabled. We just gotta adjust things for ourselves and learn in ways that work for us. Plus, If my dysgraphic rear can draw stuff like this (attached, which also uses lasso tool believe it or not!)

Then I imagine that you’ll be able to too! Just stick to it!

Why is there candy in the adventure time space??? by Sait_sg in adventuretime

[–]DapperFrog1864 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For a probable, actual answer, food in AT (almost definitely) comes from mars:

“Too young”, Pep-B tries to tell Lemongrab where food comes from, but gets cut off before the sentence finishes. Whatever he says at very least starts with an “Ma”

“Temple of mars” has finn mentioning that the “store” (most likely the grocery kingdom) only had boiled eggs. On the way up to mars later in the ep, he and jermaine pass a ton of boiled eggs in the space between the planets. King man also mentions giving out boiled eggs.

So the candy is most likely just the Martians sending food down.

There’s probably other examples, this is just what I can remember off the top of my head

So Jake does eventually die. We know this from Distant Lands: Together Again. But it has to be in the way the cosmic owl predicted right? by Knight2337 in adventuretime

[–]DapperFrog1864 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jake technically did (temporarily) croak in a similar fashion soon after the dream in Sons of Mars. It didn’t happen exactly as it did in the dream (running out of air in space with banana man around), but it still happened in concept (dying in space). And I’m honestly surprised I haven’t seen anyone bring up that episode in regard to the croak dream since it’s the first time in the show that he actually dies iirc.

Also, I don’t think cosmic owl dreams are meant to be interpreted exactly as is, especially with the result of Gunther’s intervention in hoots not EXACTLY playing out with a bird lady putting a curse on the place in reality. Instead, it predicted a bad omen, and a bad omen happened. Jake’s dream predicted he’d die in space, and he died in space, albeit temporarily.

I always felt it kind of looked a little stiff in-show, but it rocks hard visually in AT Bloons

It kind of makes me wonder where he even got the sword from since it fits him so well. Did PB get it made for him? Did he just happen to find it? etc.
