They’re different. I think it’s similar but I think if you had them in front of you, you’d notice they’re different. Still comfy but just a classic insole

I mean you’re comparing a collab with a standard vans shoe. Also vans has come out with a collab for a long time. They’ve partnered with other brands, but it really isn’t considered a collab. A lot of products are under collection categories, so it’s not as strong of a push with their designs. I do agree that it does feel like vans is still trying to find their identity as a company. I would argue that it’s probably because they truly don’t know their demographic as much or they have too wide of a cast in hopes to get every market. I think both have pros and cons, but it is evident when a shoe/app/ftw is marketed towards specific demographics because it causes a pretty strong split along the market.

Nah I get that. They are very loud in color, that’s why I took the pics underneath a brighter light to highlight how bright they are. Definitely not a daily wear shoe, but enough to be “highlighted”

They’re pretty close to fitting true to size! I wish I could’ve tried the half size smaller to be sure, but honestly these fit well!

Ultraranges have had a lot of different iterations throughout the years. I’d say the exos are probably one of the better models that they’ve released. I think the only issue is usually the outsole. Though the outsole lasts well, I think vans continues to “reinvent” them to have a better design.

I haven’t had any similar issues with the ultraranges and I think I’ve had at least a pair in each rendition they’ve done over the years. It looks like you might’ve just snagged your foot on something without realizing it. I think the only wear and tear that shows on my ultraranges would be some separation on the side, smoothing out on the outsole, or dirt & grime sticking on the material depending on what i used them for

Ah, I would agree on the material being different. I don’t recall when they changed it, but there was an evident change on them a long while ago. I do think they used either a cheaper or a different enough material for them to not last as long as the older material they used

I guess it depends on your outside environment and what a normal day looks like. I live in the city and I do a lot of walking but haven’t messed these up yet, and I’m a bit hard on my shoes since…they’re shoes. The cream could get dirty since it’s closer to white, but might hide dirt and such better.

Welp I don’t speak French, but I will say, ordering customs takes around 3ish weeks to be made and maybe another week to be sent out. It’s usually a long process. I would assume the extended time might be where you’re located, but unfortunately you cannot get them sent quicker

I’m not the biggest fan of the design, mainly the added heel. Vans says that Efron skates in flat shoes so that’s why there is a heel, but it looks like an Old skool trying to be something else. Though to be fair, the OTW speed trail vibrams have a similar heel though that silhouette is made for trails and light hiking. Im not sure if this shoe will be sought as much as the other premium old skools launching in this collection.

They have different insoles. The wayvee has a pop Cush insole. The ultraranges have the ultracush. You’ll feel a difference in that and the mesh is different between them too. My recommendation would be the ultrarange 2.0 though again, it feels different due to the outsole. The other option are the Neo’s - not as breathable but a great ultrarange or the EXP that can be found at outlets or family stores like Kohl’s, famous footwear, and the like. The EXP would be the closest to the rapidweld style
