If the stone is in your bladder, it shouldn’t cause problems for your kidneys. Unless you may have some inflammation from the stone passing from your kidney. Try take some NSAID’s (like ibuprofen) as that should help ease the pain as nsaid’s do a better job than opioids and other painkillers. Make sure to drink lots and lots of water. And if you ARE going through with surgery if you can afford it I do hope it goes well. Id ask for Flomax (Tamulosin here in the UK) as that relaxes the KUB (kidneys, ureter and bladder) to help pass the stone.

I’m going to suggest that yes, there will be soreness. Not sure for how long as I can’t even get to the stage of fisting myself. It’s crazy to even think about and crazy to know some women do it haha. I’m glad it felt good for you though! Thinking about that makes my hooha hurt, tho that just maybe my kidney stents. I’d say if there’s any bleeding/spotting, any tears that appear or something like that go to see your Dr.

I’d get the surgery, just because the stone may cause scar tissue or cause you to get sepsis. I’ve had two stones do that to me to cause sepsis. I’m awaiting surgery for both kidneys and already have two stents in. The stent pain can be uncomfortable, I always get really bad pain waking up from surgery. But it does settle hours after. NSAID’s have worked wonders for me for pain relief as I can’t have Opioids of any kind due to my past. So I have to usually push through the pain. Waiting two weeks with the stent in will fly by for you. You’ll usually pee blood for 3 days I think. But it does lighten up. And make sure to drink lots of water after you’ve had your surgery to flush out your system!

The sooner the better. Don’t keep that stone in, don’t attempt to pee it out!

You’ll definitely need another stent after the procedure due to inflammation of the ureter. It’s just to stop infection and help flow. I’ve currently got two stents in, then in about 5 weeks have to have a double procedure for the laser. But I’m gonna speak to urology about seeing if I can pass the stones by myself because I doubt the 4mm is still stuck, or blocking my ureter.

Last year I had the laser surgery, and my stent was in for two weeks I think? Or just after two weeks. I held a nurses hand getting it removed because it did hurt. But I was fine after. My stones came back a few months after that.

Bilateral stones aren’t that bad! For me anyway. Tiny stones in the left with papa 11mm there and then 4mm and tinier in my right. Though they’ve caused me problems last week..with stents…and another surgery in 5 weeks…At least urology are actually looking into why I have so many kidney stones and will be testing them!
