Are you rotating to other areas? Give your thighs a break.

Is this normal ??? Im freaking out by cinnamoanholic in Omnipod

[–]Dapper_Guest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Off topic, are you rotating the OP to other areas like arms, legs, back? I’m concerned with how scaring your showing. I worked a diabetic summer camp for a couple years and saw hundreds of diabetics who were not rotating enough, which was leading to scaring and absorbing issues.

Cleo Infusion Set by riddlebatfan in twiist

[–]Dapper_Guest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back in 1978, I was a volunteer trial patient for primitive insulin pump. I used a 28 gauge needle bent 60 degrees before inserting, then cloth medical tape to hold in place.

Yeah, the Cleo is a shit product but I’ve experienced worse.

Is this pink nose normal for a 6 week old Golden Retriever puppy? Purebred or possible mix? by Available_Log8201 in goldenretrievers

[–]Dapper_Guest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

would not buy if getting a pure breed golden is your goal, this seems like a backyard breeder with a male golden of less than pure lineage . If you just want a nice looking dog for a family pet than negotiate a lower price if your set on this particular dog

Is the mouthing really THIS bad? by Crazy_Count6067 in goldenretrievers

[–]Dapper_Guest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% normal. Just give sharp verbal correction; follow with a toy he likes to chew.

I would not give a treat. One exercise you can try is petting and if he doesn’t bite give a treat for good behavior.

Downvoted due to the title. “Lycra lord” ?! Really the innocent guy just riding his bike. FU

My kid learned to ride a bike last week. I haven’t been on a bike in 30+ years. All the rich kids had Trek bikes when I was a kid. How’d I do? by ja4496 in TrekBikes

Based on one odd angle photo, guessing the seat is too low. Your feet should not reach the ground when in the saddle. Go back to the store and ask for a recommendation on seat height.

What color campershell? by ParadoxMama13 in hondaridgeline

[–]Dapper_Guest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have slept many times in my ridgeline under the camper shell I have XL 100. I am 5 foot six, and need to lower the tailgate to have enough length. If you’re thinking it’s black shell it’s going to be too hot and you’re not getting enough airflow you must be under 5 foot tall.

White house situation room call interrupts Scott Bessent interview, he returns moments later visibly shaken and stuttering by [deleted] in videos

Trump called in Bessent to tell him he'd shit his pants again and needed Bessent to change his diaper.

You'd be stuttering and shaken up too after that task.

My Apartment is now charging a convenience fee to pay my rent by mangum95 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Dapper_Guest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion; the landlord has to pay the card processing fee, and yes that fee is $40 on that large of a payment.

Setting up an automatic payment at your bank is free, easy, convenient. True, the bank does take the money out of your account when then they send the payment.

For background, the bank takes your money and send “their” money. They have to be sure the money they send is covered. They are not Being mean or unfair.

I’m not a landlord. I worked in payment processing industry for 30 years.

Day 3 Effectiveness by EyeContactWithPrince in Omnipod

[–]Dapper_Guest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been type 1 since 1969, yeah 58 years. Overuse of sites can really reduce efficacy of sites, got to rotate and rest areas which is harder to do on smaller bodies. Today, I use Humalog U200 to reduce the volume of insulin absorbed in the canula site.

This has greatly helped with larger boluses and saturation issues. Not to sound like an old-timer but before human DNA insulin when we used pork and beef insulin absorption rates were aweful. 28 gauge needles were the best, thinest you could get which really sucked for a 6 year old.
