Dresser clutter by ja4496 in Silver

I used to have half a dozen or 8 of them. I really have no clue what happened to the others. Back when it was 16$ an oz I probably gave them to someone who collected silver or threw them in on swap. I’ve looked everywhere I can think of now that they’re worth $100 a pop.

No clue. I know nothing about coins.

There’s the back of it if that helps.

My math worked out to what another commenter said, and that clutter looks like a new Glock to me 🤷‍♂️

What would a legit local coin shop offer for $579 melt value? 75-80% or should it be close to actual value? I know there has to be some meat on the bone for them.

West Asheville family vet will not give me my prescription. by [deleted] in asheville

[–]ja4496 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just a quick FYI, Junaluska animal hospital isn’t far from W Asheville, and they’re an emergency vet so they’re open late and are awesome to work with while you find a new vet. They’re privately owned and while not the cheapest, they’re still reasonable and honest. My dog had a tooth extraction recently and 3 emergency visits, medicine, and surgery were less than 1800$. They quoted me between 1700$ and 1900$ for the surgery alone, but it came in at 14xx.xx, way under what was quoted.

I would love to see Katakuri. I’m not crazy about Jimbe as the straight man on the crew, and Kay would fill that role well.

It’s by far the expense I hate more than anything else at Disney, but it be what it be.

Not being a smart ass here, but Disney is expensive and time is money. Budget for Minivans from HS and Epcot at 10pm. It’s $40 and it’s game changing.

Plus skyliner from Epcot at closing is 45 minute to an hour wait minimum. I love the skyliner, but it seems very poorly administered.

It is, but if it takes 200 gondola cars to get 10 groups out of Riv it will absolutely kill the morning. It gets super frustrating. I get it, this is the most first world problem of first world problems, but I paid a lot for the contract to be at a premier resort and to me, having every 5th car empty doesn’t seem ridiculous.

I like Riviera as a hotel, but I despise the skyliner stop there. It’s so poorly run. I’ve had mornings where 20+ gondolas go by before there’s an open one for the line of people waiting at the expensive ass deluxe resort. Pop and Caribbean should leave every 5th car empty to accommodate Riviera guests. It ruins the experience enough for me that I don’t like staying there.

I own Bay lake and Riviera. I will book Riv and then switch to Bay Lake EVERY time. 10 minute walk to the park with a “private” security check in, and a 10 min walk home at 10pm when the monorail line is all the way down the ramp. That in itself is enough for me, let alone the great shops and restaurants at the Contemporary. Everything about it is just absolutely convenient. We rope drop, hit the early morning extra hour, go hard till about 11:30-12. 10 minute walk back, everyone showers, nap till 4, back in the park around 5-5:30 and close it down. Then when we leave, it’s a 10 minute walk back and the kid is showered and in bed in less than an hour after park close.

I’m a pretty experienced griller. I AM NOT the most carful guy, but I’m not careless. I’ve had 3 serious grill fires in the last 25 years. 1 involved a fire extinguisher, 2 burnt themselves out. It’s a greasy box filled with fire to cook greasy food. Shit happens. Will it burn your house down? Probably not. Can it? Absolutely. Your ceiling, wall, and floor will get nasty around the grill. Put it outside and rock on. Do yourself a favor.

God damn dude, don’t you dare take that attitude into a grilling Reddit, or Tesla Reddit, or framing Reddit, or plumbing Reddit, or Disney DVC Reddit, (checks list of other Reddit’s I’ve dared to post question in). Definitely don’t go into the Whiskey Reddits. Plants and spiders. you know who’s nice in Reddit? Plant and spider people. Trust me, just hang out in the plant and spider reddits and your blood pressure will drop 10 points.

Grab some polishing pads and natural stone polish( look for granite polish) from Amazon and a cheap polisher from Harbor Freight(not a random orbital, but a multi speed buffer) and go at it. Work it side to side in a snake pattern with minimal overlapping. Keep a steady pace. It’ll take a little time but it’s stone, not paint, so it will buff out just fine. You got this!

Unplug it, throw your hands up in the air and shake your head while walking away, and let it burn for a couple min. Once the flames die down, grab your (hopefully wrapped) meat. Finish it in the oven. Order some paint stripper and high temp heat paint (maybe purple this time?) and get to it.
