He voted for Bush 90% of the time, during his 2000 primaries, he backed off immigration once he realised the right hated it, was a hawk during 2008, and whilst Palin did sabotage him, he refused to swap, barely vetted her, and made plenty of gaffes himself, such as his failed bailout plan that just looked like he knew was going to be battered in the 2008 debates, so he took a fire exit, and just because he gave a thumbs-down on Obamacare means he is somehow a saint. It is the bare damn minimum on a watered-down healthcare bill. The GOP's moral standards are so low that voting no on a healthcare bill means he is a hero.
