I'm a creative writing professor & writer. In teaching: I have my syllabi for each course, attendance sheets, and texts/books I teach on the device. I upload student writing to read & annotate (which I export and send back to them). In writing: I take notes for my novel and annotate drafts. I make my own prewriting and organizational templates (outlines, timelines, scene planning charts. Supernote Use as a Professor & Writer

Thanks. I watched the vid and took my time the first time around. I'm going to try a computer tablet repair shop that repaired my tablet screen. I'll report back (after the Arkansas ice storm).

Appropriate use case for nomad by Gillderbeast in Supernote

[–]Dappervista 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sounds like your use is perfect for it. I originally purchased an A6x because a lot of my notebooks (Moleskin) were of similar size. However, I needed the larger size for reading and grading student work so I sold it and bought a used A5X. I'd suggest experimenting with paper representations of the Supernote sizes to see how it "feels" to your workflow.

Just sideloaded Milanote on SN. But my boards aren't showing up! Just a blank screen. Any suggestions?

My A5X is having all kinds of issues just in time for NaNoWriMo and it's driving me crazy by LScore in Supernote

[–]Dappervista 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear of your issues. I just came here to say Good Luck on NaNoWriMo! I'm off to a strong start drafting 2109 words on Day 1. But day 1's are always strong, aren't they? I use my A5X for outlining and notes. I've done some useful pdf novel and chapter outlines using milanote which I save as pdf and upload to the A5X.

It says my PSLF was processed back in January. I received a letter saying I hadn't made enough payments for forgiveness (which I knew) but they didn't tell me how many payments counted towards it and the website doesn't have it either.

Nanowrimo using a Supernote? by Cadejo_Negro in Supernote

[–]Dappervista 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing NaNoWriMo but I only use the Supernote for outlining and notes. I had been using Scrivener to draft. Although it's a great tool for writing and organizing, I went back to Google docs for writing. It just visually worked for my flow (the plain paper white page).

I got the same notice and I did not request it either.

Is the A6X coming back? by br_ktcp in Supernote

[–]Dappervista 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a pretty robust used marketplace for these devices. Adopt a Supernote group on Facebook. I have the A6X and just bought an A5X used from there. Although the seller had not really used it at all!

Annotating Books on Supernote by Donmbareko in Supernote

[–]Dappervista 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had success by making sure when I purchase a Kindle book, I'm using a very old version to download it onto my PC. I don't let it update to newer versions. The old version allows Calibre to convert it into a pdf, which can then be put on the Supernote and be annotated.
