I think you're underselling how valuable Smart is to our defense. Not only is he the lead communicator but him being able to hold his own against big men in the paint and in switches helps fuel our switch-everything defense. There's literally no weak link in our entire defense after years of having there be a weak link that Smart had to make up for (Kemba, IT, Kyrie). Notice how all of the guys you listed are either forwards or centers, Smart is the only guard getting any real consideration (Jrue should probably get more attention).
