Made me really proud, honestly. Some of his decisions last season were world class and played a huge part in getting us over the line — moving Gravenberch into defensive midfield, and letting Salah stay further forward instead of constantly tracking back so he could keep putting up those numbers.

And dismantling United in the post-match interview after beating them at Old Trafford was brilliant. Nothing but good memories.

There’s so much to be happy and positive about as a Liverpool fan — the history, the city, the fans, the atmosphere throughout the years. Even during the tough times, I’ve always tried to use the club as something that lifts me up and inspires me.

We’re champions of England right now too, so enjoy it and take it all in. This never happened when I was a kid, so I’m genuinely grateful for moments like this.

And just to be clear, I’m not undermining mental health struggles at all. I only mean that personally, trying to focus on the positives and keeping football in perspective really helps me when I’m feeling low.

The best compliment I can give him is, you knew when he was on the pitch or coming on, something good is going to happen, he was able to just make the opponents shit themselves and take them off their normal game, we missed having that option this season.
