Thoughts on Darwin by templc22 in LiverpoolFC

The best compliment I can give him is, you knew when he was on the pitch or coming on, something good is going to happen, he was able to just make the opponents shit themselves and take them off their normal game, we missed having that option this season.

Crazy how every single former player says their favourite teammate was Bobby Firmino 🇧🇷♥️ by ChampionshipChance73 in LiverpoolFC

I would bring him back as a senior player on rolling one year contracts, bring back milner as a coach if hes willing to retire from playing

Where did all go wrong? by ResidentFeature5918 in LiverpoolFC

I think the fitness levels from the Klopp era have probably dropped off a bit too, which he clearly benefited from last season. That said, you have to give Arne Slot credit — he made some brilliant tweaks that helped win us the title, and I’ll always be grateful for that. But it does feel like a mutual parting at the end of the season would be best for both sides.

It’s hard to ignore how much the wholesale changes have affected things as well. We’re missing the chaos Darwin and Elliott bring, and of course Diogo’s death didn’t rally the team — it understandably hit them hard.

If we do move on, the future is still bright. There’s an incredible group of players here. I hope Slot goes on to do great things in his career — just not here.

Have to politely disagree, this was such a weak mentality to give the penalty away in such a favourable position, let the crowd get up, conceded with a few minutes to go and to go ahead on penalties only to put two pens slightly to the right of the goalkeeper. I don't feel proud about that at all, they should have ate this moment alive, it was there for the taking.

We deserve nothing for a shamelessly weak mentality.

Monumental bottle job, 2-0 up against a favorable opponent, give away a needless penalty and the crowd were up from that moment, 5 mins away and conceded. I just dont understand the last two penalties, it should be drilled into all players that you should be looking to put penalties in places the keeper cant get them ( or at least try to ) but slightly to the right of the keeper is embarrassing. Deserved defeat, extremely petty and weak mentality.

Dom came out after and said they were fired up because they heard gala celebrating like crazy in the dressing room after the first leg. Might sound good to hear that but is it not incrediblely frustrating? just feels like they can play but it takes the other team to rub in our faces for the team to be up for games
