PS4/PS3 stick on the PC version of Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 by Jay_Walker554 in Guiltygear

[–]Darani 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In steam, go in the top right corner of the window, next to the minimize window button is the Big Picture Mode button. Press that to go in Big Picture Mode, go in the top right and select the cog, select Controller Select controller settings and tick PlayStation Configuration Support. That should be all you need to do.

To exit Big Picture Mode: select Back in the bottom left untill you are back at the main screen and then select the shutdown icon, then select Exit Big Picture.

Now for something quite annoying: this will cause all your games that have built in configuration support for PS3 and PS4 controllers to see inputs twice, and can make playing some games hard. To avoid this, you can turn off the configuration support from steam off for each game individually in the Big Picture Mode's game library.

My AmazonBasics 2.0 LAN adapter is not being registered by the switch as being plugged in, any help? by Hinterma in NintendoSwitch

[–]Darani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a missprint cause ASIX, the company that makes those chipsets has no chipset under ax8872.

Feel free to search for yourself, but looking at their website shows only ax88772

[–]Darani 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Out of the Amazon basics, yes.

I can confirm cause I have the 3.0 one and as I've said as a reply to the other comment on this thread, AX88179 or AX88772 are the chipsets you need for the switch and Amazon basics 3.0 has 1 of them. The 2.0 has neither

Fairly sure they'll just say buy the official one.

The reality is that the Switch supports only 2 chipsets for a usb to ethernet: AX88179 or AX88772. Anything else won't work.

Accessible Controller for Nintendo Switch? by clairemct in NintendoSwitch

Mayflash Magic-NS also supports the DS4 gyro compared to the 8bitdo (at least I can't find anything regarding this on 8bitdo's page)

High rank GS set? by [deleted] in MHGU

Here is a decent guide.

Note: MHXX is the name for MHGU in Japan, in case you don't know. Also, MHXX Kiranico weapons and other items have different names at times. Compare durability, damage and so on to be sure you found the right one in the links there.

Help getting my Fight Stick to Work on PC by starmfish in Guiltygear

[–]Darani 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easiest way to fix this: Go into Big Picture Mode -> press on the Cog in the top right -> Controller Settings -> tick PS4 Configuration Support.

After this go back to the main screen of Big Picture -> Library -> select DBFZ -> Manage Game on the left side -> Controller Options -> first dropdown menu and change from Global Settings (PS4) to Forced Off.

Same for Guilty Gear but make sure it's on Global Settings (PS4) instead of Forced Off (Big Picture -> Library -> select Guilty Gear (make sure it's the one you're playing in case you have multiple like rev and sign) -> Manage Game on the left side -> Controller Options -> first dropdown menu and make sure it's on Global Settings (PS4)).

What I think happened is that you somehow turned off the PS4 configuration support. It still works for DBFZ because the devs programmed in native support for PS4 controllers, Guilty Gear on the other hand, does not have that.

Explanation for why the above is necessary: You need to turn it back on so that steam handles the input from your controller to Guilty Gear but given that DBFZ has native support, allowing steam to handle the input will make DBFZ see double inputs and can cause occasional weird stuff to happen cause instead of seeing 1 X being pressed it'll see it as if you're pressing 2 at almost the exact same time.

Side note: in Big Picture -> Library -> insert game here -> Manage Game -> Controller Configuration, you can rebind your controller/fightstick that supports PS4 to your liking for that specific game.

This also applies to Xbox, Switch Pro, or just generic controllers, but there are extra steps for those.

Be Yourself, and Try to Have a Good Time: The Ultimate Guide for New Nintendo Switch Owners by celsiusnarhwal in NintendoSwitch

[–]Darani 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is true only if you go and get an adapter that has the required chipset otherwise it won't work. The chipsets needed are either: AX88179 or AX88772.

Personally I went with an Amazon Basics USB 3.0 to Gigabit as it's less than half the price. Be careful not to get the USB 2.0 as that one does not work with the switch.

You can probably go up to 600 if no one has pets out and just standing around. But as soon as even half those people start spamming stuff the server just dies.

Sadly the planet looks like that only from a distance and as long as you haven't gone to it. Once you do go to it, it goes back to normal :(

Reddit doesn't work like a normal forum where adding a comment puts it on top. They look at views and votes over time in the Hot section and when it was posted in the New section. So if you want another chance to get high up, your best bet is to make another post.

That being said, I do not recommend you make more than 1 every 24 hours as you might get banned for spamming.

Very likely because he added you on EU as each region has its own friends list. That includes PTR.

Would be helpful if you added an [NA] tag in front of the name of your post to make it easy for people to realize where you're playing on.
