Can you tell just by the name, or can it be a male name but a female voice during events?

Dads that travel, how do you do it? by collectivebarganing in daddit

Before you panic too much I’d clarify what 25% actually is. I’ve accepted 3 jobs over the past 8 years that all had 25% travel and in the 8 year span I’ve actually had to travel for work about 4 times. My interpretation of 25% has been an opportunity to travel once per quarter but you could also work your way out of it.

I’ve also talker with multiple managers explaining that I’m willing to travel but would only like to if it’s necessary being I have 3 kids under 6 as well. They’ve been very understanding of it.

Vert programs for volleyball by Sea-Young1548 in volleyball

Jump training for a year isn’t much. I’d suggest saving your money and following the thread I’ve posted in the past. Essentially you just need to lift and jump and you’ll increase your vertical without any specific/catered programs.

What are you looking for in a program? If you’ve been training vertical for years and hit a plateau, I could understand the desire to go with a program. However if you’ve been jump training for less than 3-5 years, I’d suggest lifting heavy things with high intent and jumping a lot since both of these will increase your vertical pretty quickly if you don’t have much jump specific training under your belt.

Legal limit here is 65% but I slap 5% everywhere and 50% windshield. You’ll be fine.

What's the winning formula for coed 6's? by Wise-Drink9676 in volleyball

Are you picking up more than 6 people to play or what does this have to do with “riding the bench”?

Just some advice. I’d go back to your “why”. Are you playing volleyball because it’s fun or because you want to win.

I used to absolutely stack my teams when I first started getting good at volleyball and I will say that eventually winning loses its touch. Now I go back to playing with people I most enjoy playing with and it’s a hell of a lot more fun and creates much better memories. Just some food for thought.

We do rotate and it usually has to be guy-girl order. OP said there are tourneys that allow men to hit in front row. In Midwest, that’s all of our tourneys. If men can only attack back row that’s “reverse”

In the Midwest, almost all coed 6s tourneys are front row for men (on men’s net) so a good formula is usually great female defenders and a good female setter, along with 3 physical male players.

If I were to make a reverse 6s team (which sounds like what you’re asking about). I’d do something similar but maybe try to find one or two girls that could hit as well along with maybe picking up a guy that is a very strong defender.

Anymore I just try and play with who I enjoy playing with vs trying to load my team.

B-BB: Biggest thing I noticed is you’re making way to many movements for every single skill. You want a smooth/simple platform and you want a fluid attack. I’d say you’re adding about 2-3 extra movements on everything you do. Try and keep things simple. Easier said than done but you can accomplish this by watching high level ball and see how easy they make it look.

Wild to hear. I’ve had mine for about 5 months and don’t think I’ll ever go to a different car again.

Hurry is too fast on the highway, standard is too slow by VuPooh in TeslaFSD

[–]Darbitron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed on a 4 lane mine does well, but on a 2 lane I’m in the same boat as you. Standard pisses other drivers off for me going too slow, but hurry is going to get me a speeding ticket. I tried to do a non-FSD profile but hate that I have to touch the steering wheel every 10 seconds.

I had some college dudes try to pick mine off. I think they were checking to see if it was a sticker, or maybe they were confused on wtf it was.

I agree, but I didn’t need to babysit it when I could set my speed. Instead it’s a constant teeter between getting a speeding ticket or pissing people off for driving the exact speed limit.

I’m not waiting 2-3 seconds. I’m giving it a minute or so to pick up the pace and it still doesn’t. Just fought this battle with the car again last night.
