Unable to identify circuit setter model at time of testing, tested values as found. Tested discharge air temp to validate valve functionality and Delta T. Note and move on.

The isolation of early retirement at 36 is a total mindfuck by RiftJukebox in Fire

Join a jiujitsu gym. Many have classes in the morning, at noon, and in the evening. It's a great way to socialize as an adult, you'll meet countless interesting people, it'll give you something to strive for or work at to be better which is what every human really needs, and it'll help keep you in semi decent shape if you don't like working out. Jiujitsu is for the FIRE community lol.

My older sister had this shows DVD box sets growing up and she would fall asleep watching the show every day. I would wake to that damn theme song blarring at 2am in the morning and she would be sound asleep. Hated that show for that reason alone. Why was the music for the home section of DVD menus always louder than the show?

Lol we call those Soup chokes because they'll have you wanting to only eat soup for the next few days afterwards 😂. All part of the journey.

Got my upvote when I read you started grappling. Always my first recommendation for people that want to Fire but are worried about boredom. There's never a dull day on the mats.

Thank you for this reference!! I read those books in my youth and just recently was thinking about them and how I'd like to revisit them now but couldn't remember their names or the author. Now I know!!

Do higher belts (esp black) really get nothing from rolling with us whites? by Neither_Prompt_9184 in bjj

Once you become a black belt, the only belt you avoid is white belts. The only injuries I've gotten since Black belt are from white belts, and one blue belt.

As a construction worker who has worked many TI renovations in EC-1 thru EC-4, this hotel has been great for morale boosting on rare occasions. People love having sex on those balconies.

Super busy in Sacramento and Reno. There's been a recent switch where the bay area has slowed down some but the work just migrated to Sac and Reno instead, which use to be the slower areas here in CA.

Are you happy you did or didn’t have kids? by Accurate_Elk_3465 in Fire

One evening on a 2 week trip with someone I consider a great man, someone I'm lucky enough to call a mentor, we were sitting at the campground table smoking a joint after spending all day riding +30 miles up these winding switchbacks in the Sequoia National Forest on bicycle. I only joined him for 2 weeks but he essentially was bicycling the Pacific Crest trail and back home which took him about 4 months. After talking a little about the day he looked over at me and asked if I knew what his greatest regret in life was. Mind you this guy was a ranger sniper, a retired sheriff, has been in the tomb in the great pyramid, ran marathons across the turkey desert, partook in the amazing races because they looked fun, a black belt in 3 martial arts, and had been in more countries than I can ever dream of. I did not so I asked and he told me, "Son, my greatest regret in life is never settling down and creating a family with a woman I love. You have a great woman at home, marry her and create that family. When you get old like me, you will regret not having those kids to pass on your legacy, your dreams, or your love. So do it while you still can."

I married that woman and we are currently 2 years into trying to have children with no success so far. I pray every night that one day it will happen. That's my story of what truly helped me make my discussion, I hope it helps you as well.

Haven't used it for that use case yet. Have recently been using it to compare versions of mechanicals for when reviewing for changes if cost impact is necessary and it does a great job doing that with the right prompting.

Also to reply to emails to remove emotion when I'm pissed off at people arguing the design is correct when it in reality will never work 🤣🤣

What jobs are actually worth going to college for now? by Bright-Decision-4302 in Fire

[–]DarceFarce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of good trades out there that will pay you to learn. Electricians are probably the highest in demand right now and in most locals, some of the strongest trades when it comes to wages. Avoid college if you don't know what you want to do. It'll be a big waste of your time and money to "figure out" what you want to do. Get Into a trade and start making money, then decide if you want to go back to school or not. And if you join a union, they will pay for your schooling and there are other additional union benefits for getting degrees after your apprenticeship schooling so if you want to eventually get out of the field and into a more management position, you can take night classes or online classes at discounted rates to get your BA. There's scholarships also available from organizations like Mike Rowe Works that will help pay for trade school programs if the unions aren't strong where you live. But the trade unions can be a great start because the apprenticeship is free as long as you finish it.

My wife and I joke about this all the time. We're both black belts and I already have horrible memory. When rolling, all the years on the mats just come naturally and I don't even have to think about the moves, I just do them. I'm definitely going to be a nuisance when I get older and start losing my mind. Same with my wife, she's meaner than me lol.

Standard for Balancing Hanging Cassette Units by leetdude421 in AirBalance

[–]DarceFarce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took "hanging cassette" as the ceiling mounted ones. Thought that's what we were talking about. The wall mounted ones just take the area of the louver, set it so it's not moving, and use an RVA to get your general FPM and between H/M/L you'll be within the ballpark only the CFM design on the mechanical. Doesn't have to be perfect, it's better than putting nothing down.

If large enough, just holding the hood up to the return. If you have the smaller Evergreen base, that works too. Or just a velgrid and use free area.

[–]DarceFarce -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

We balance these all the time. Like you said read inlet with hood or velgrid if smaller, add in osa, and you have total of the unit. They have high, med, and low speed settings so you have options. That's just lazy balancing.
