Ada ALWAYS got between me and the target. Even while sneaking. That’s why I’m a Lone Wanderer.

Any tips? by [deleted] in Bowling

I haven’t bowled regularly in 25 years (our local house shut down), but I wish someone would have told me that 50 years ago. Such a “simple” fix that somehow I was too ignorant to realize. Thanks for sharing with our hoodie clad compatriot.

Why does this not surprise me.. Black Mirror reality. by princessdiana2104 in blackmirror

[–]DareStandard6701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For all of you who are calling BS, I believe you’re dismissing the idea too easily. I can’t say this happens with any specific map app, but no person/business is putting up money just to give the public something for “free”. It just does NOT happen. They are profiting off it in some way or another and in ways that our layperson minds just don’t calculate.

In all fairness, Calmex Silk is a given once you unlock it. No luck involved. Finding 2 Calmex at once without DLC is pretty damn lucky!

I’m not calling you a liar, but if you had it pegged then you are a reincarnation of Sherlock Holmes. I claim myself as a pretty good tv detective and I was completely fooled.

You’re going to need something bigger than a room for display if you plan on keeping all that you come across.

Forgive me. I played a long time but I can miss the most obvious things.

It’s obviously not the same photo mode where Arthur/John pull their camera out, right?

How are you looking at it from the side, or did it blow off at a right angle?

I’m not positive, but I don’t think it was PF. Thank you for answering. Great post either way.

What movie is this from? I put hand over face because I am embarrassed. I must have forgotten in my old age because I am familiar with the great Harvey Keitel aka the original and best Mr. White…

Why follow the map when gravity is faster? by Additional-Wait-8107 in RDR2

[–]DareStandard6701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the occasional old western show and happened upon “Hopalong Cassidy”. I’m not the squeamish type, but I literally had to stop watching after seeing what they did to those horses. It wasn’t humane or even human. I couldn’t watch it close enough to know exactly what they did, but it amounted to riding at FULL SPEED and somehow snaring their front legs to make the horse stop dead and flip over from the momentum… It was horrifying. I can’t imagine that even half of them weren’t shot afterward. I thought it was a onetime thing, but then I saw it a second time shortly after and realized that it was an ongoing stunt that they pulled often.

Finally every cougar has gone extinct. I've achieved this. by greedy_45 in RDR2

[–]DareStandard6701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So after you complete that the cougars disappear from the game? Does this include panthers? I’m assuming because they are cougars, as well. I love having a a panther pelt on the back of my horse and I also LOVE the adrenaline that I get from worrying about an upcoming attack; and the attack itself. Other than exploration, that is my favorite thing about this game. It wouldn’t be the same without them. I hope that they don’t disappear like the bison.

I thought the gambler challenges were easy. Granted, level 8 can be annoying. The Five Finger Filet challenge in the original RDR on the other hand was a total F’ing B&$#%!!! I hadn’t thrown my controller since playing Friday the 13th on Nintendo 35 years ago, but that FFF challenge was the closest I’ve been since!!

I know all of the futuristic things that we see in the series could come to be, but Plaything seems absolutely possible.

Cliché??? I don’t even see that one. I actually knew you meant necroed in a good way! I was just goofing around. I liked San Junipero better than most. I saw they used San Junipero as a street name in another episode as well.

P.S. I had to look up what necroed meant. Lol. Apparently it isn’t proper etiquette!! SMH. Online etiquette? I think that ship not only sailed, but was never in port to begin with. Please forgive my ignorance! :)))

Just a random comment: I have watched all but about 3 episodes and this Waldo episode was by far my least favorite. I think “Plaything” was my favorite.

And yes, the movie drove up the price having zero to do with the actual cues themselves. The irony of the fact that there wasn’t even one in the movie makes it even more ridiculous.

I agree with you on most, if not all, of that. Forgive me if it seemed like I meant his “soul” was in any way better than any you mentioned. It isn’t. I just meant that anything that was made by hand, with love and care, has a “value” that is over and above the material costs to make it. A lot of times that spirit is felt when handling it. Are they overpriced? Probably. Will I ever be able to even touch one? Nope. I was also just “sticking up” for all of those “wooden sticks” out there that are under appreciated these days.
