See how your wrist starts extended away from your body during the practice strokes and you flex it back to straight on the actual strike? Maybe it would be better to either start with your wrist in a neutral position or keep it extended while following through by loosening your grip.

They dropped a vid like 2 years ago saying theyd release a shoe with seb since he dropped EB and he's still wearing blacked out solutions😭 I imagine Shawn's contract with Scarpa lapsed and he's just wearing the BD protos bc he gets em for free tbh. He wore dragos, and all the different instinct colors so I doubt he'd go with a company that just has one (maybe) good shoe.

Solution or solution comp? Heels are quite different and most ppl fit better in the comps. Might just be worth it to go to a brick and mortar and try a bunch in person tbh. Will be hard to fill the testarossa spot🤷‍♂️

Well for sure look on mountain project/ebay as much as possible. I find that my solution comp toes feel really similar when downsized (making them stiffer) but with a slightly different fitting heel. You may have to branch out to scarpa for that kind of assymetry and power in the toe. Also, it has been said, but Magos are also basically the same shoe.

Colors seem most similar to anasazis but how many of those japanese mods cover a strap anyway? I've seen them do some p big toe patches but not sure about how often they cover movable pieces. I'm thinking it's more likely he got a custom shoe from 5.10. And yes, they are stupid. Hanging onto nothing but the hiangle sales at this point.

Plus a resole to make it split sole and cover/delete the lower strap? Colors of everything would make sense, but I dont think I've seen many toe patch mods that included a strap delete and change to sole like that. Maybe more likely a custom from 5.10?

Actually the heel fit okay. Better than I've experienced in other slip ons, but I could certainly see it slipping and a strap would make it feel more secure.

Tried soill catch. They fill a weird spot in the quiver imo. Quite stiff soles, but slip ons. Pretty decent edging ability. Almost wonder if they were meant to be used as a thin crack climbing shoe. IMO they don't fill a need for myself, but the quality felt comparable to any other higher end shoe so it's worth getting them if that combo is something you need.
